Onyx Boox Max2 Issues

Hi Booxtor,

I just reset the device.
Calendar (via Business Calendar app) is fine, so is Google Sheets.
Contacts are still not working - if I download the google contact app, the same procedure: asking to sign in then telling me that the account already exists on the device.

Edit -> Same Problem for In App Purchases. Business Calendar lets me not use the Pro features that I bought.

Not to be a party crasher - but can the pressure sensitivity in Notes and annotating in Neoreader be switched off? I find it produces rather thick strokes, even when I turn the thickness of the pen stroke on 1 and touch the screen with the pen ever so lightly...
Maybe it takes some time getting used to, right now it is distracting when working with my scores.
(It is fantastic when writing music though. On that line, is it possible to make your own templates of the lines / musical scoring lines etc. that you can display in the Notes app?)

Hi Jan,

we added in Shapes (first icon in menu) two modes of stylus - pencil and brush. In Pencil mode pressure sensitivity is disabled.

Also the possibility to use customized templates in Note app is on the task list. Should be available in the future

I have tasted Pressure sensitivity of Note app... VEEEERRRRY GOOOOOOOOD!!

The pen is unfortunately too small for the fabric band on the right side and the pen has no hook to hang in.

It always slips out.

Yes you are right. I am using small rubber O-ring to fix the stylus in the holder.



We will also offer proper clips for the stylus. Same like this but in black color:

But will the clip then slip off the pen? Or will they come with a rubber o-ring under, or o-rings above and below?

A little bit of epoxy would likely hold it firmly in place.

The clip actually sits quite tight. It will not slip on its own.

Did you succeed in rooting the max2 ?

With the max1 and android 4.04 I used to use towelroot v1 with success (although it did not survive updates).

I did tap several times on the build number and it now tells me I am a developer, but neither new menu or new options appeared, like on your picture.

Summon the (original Android) settings through 'am', as mentioned in other posts (I cannot search for you ATM).

EDIT: well it did not take much to search it, it's in your quote.

You can do it through Term.apk (or similar) if not from ADB.
