if i want to update firmware to the newest 5.14.3 and keep the JB, what should i do?

I'm in the dislike camp and don't plan to update my PW5 from 5.14.1.1. If it wasn't necessary for successful jailbreaking I wouldn't even update it from 5.14.0.1

Just to be clear, 5.14.1.1 gives you the choice between the old UI and new UI? I'm on 5.13.6 but I wouldn't mind updating to check out the new UI provided I can go back.

I am in the camp who doesn't consider logical to give up on new features and updates because of the UI. I could say that the new approach seems more modern to me. For example using slider bars instead of writing in page numbers at last. But of course other can think differently about it.
Amazon changes the development tool for coding Kindle firmwares, so we lost the old UI for good. The sooner we start using the new one the more time we have to get used to it. And look at the bright side: it may speed up the improvements as well.

Hi there, hopefully someone can help me out;

I followed all the steps closely, and at step #6 of the "Jailbreak" section the it says: "6. Press "Done" at the prompt to install the jailbreak script"
When i do this and press "Done", i get: "Application Error: The selected application could not be started. Please try again."

See the screenshots below, please advise if you can :'(

Come on! Step 8 in the instructions...

Edit: I just want to mention that it is good practice to read the instructions - any kind of instructions - fully at least once. By that you will know in advance if you are capable enough to follow the steps and if you have all the necessary tools to achieve the goal.

Buy an Onyx device. You will no need even a jailbreak.

The onyx (Fire HD8) can't be rooted (mtk-su) and can't be flashed to Lineage.

Would this allow at least rooting the onyx?

Install KUAL, KOReader (best alternative reader IMO) and Vlasovsoft (Great file explorer, apps, games: checkers, sudoku, end excellent Chess)

absolutely amazing work, gentlemen, thank you very much! JM is working flawlessly

Three simple questions coming from a newcommer:
1. Is there any special verification that I can do to see if I JBd correctly? (KUAL is running fine, so I guess it's already a proof)
2. If I used renameotabin via KUAL in order to stop FW from updating itself can I still login to my kindle account?
3. I believe staying on 5.14 will be best, but if I'd ever update will I keep my JB? I know factory reset will get rid of it for sure.
