As meem sad - please re-download all files (new jailbreak and update_reginfo v0.1) and try again.

Hi Nifty!

Thank you so much for your response. But it still doesn't work for me

The problem is My "Update your Kindle" menu item is always inactive. I do the install by pressing Restart kindle. But it failed twice - both at step 3 and 5. I got an error number 0003

Anyone has same problems as mine? Please give me some tips.

I used Kindle 2 (B003) - firmware 2.5.4

Hi meem,

I've downloaded them all and tried to install as Nifty said at the page 1. However, it didn't work both update_regifo_v.0.1.zip and update_reginfo_v0.2a.zip

My "Update your kind" menu item is inactive. I don't know how to activate it as Nifty said.
Any advices, please! Thank you so much!

Try to uninstall all another hacks if you have.
Then try to uninstall Jailbreak and install it again.

What is you Kindle software version ?
Did you installed any hacks before ?
Can you install Jailbreak ?

Yep, same here - Kindle DX-Graphite-9" v2.5.5

1) Jailbreak worked

2) Reginfo step didn't enable the "Update Your Kindle" link

FYI - there was update_jailbreak_k3g_install.bin (which I assume is the graphite version) but there was no 3g version for 'reginfo'.
