Got my M96 today..the screen is not as bright white as I had hoped...Humm, may return it.

Wondering if the Pocket Book Ink Pad screen is any whiter?

Early users of the InkPad have said that the contrast is poor. Doesn't mean much, but it's a data point. We'll have to wait until they are widely available to see if it remains an issue.

I am quite satisfied with the whiteness of M96. Any whiter may be disturbing I guess.

Yes agree, it is also the same with highlighting. You cannot remove it.

I can only speculate, which is why you are probably better to get answers from Booxter or Artatech. On the T68 the firmware versions seem to be updated about the same time. I see no reason why the firmwares would not be interchangeable on the M96 as on the T68, but I don't know. Booxter should be back from his break so hopefully can answer you.

I have a Lynx T68 and I succesfully installed the Boox firmware.

I returned the M96. The screen is the same as my old Pocket Book Pro 902. Very disappointed, I had really hoped for better.

It's not the same. The 902 has a Vizplex screen, the M96 a Pearl screen, which has 50% greater contrast. Those are objective numbers, not a subjective opinion.

Unable to update
Hi,

I have tried to install the latest update on my m96, but it is not working. I have tried to update over the cloud as well as downloading the zip file and moving it to the root directory. In both cases it says that updates are not available. Not sure if I am doing anything wrong. IAt the moment I only have version 1.6.0 installed. Any suggestions??

Interesting, when I layed them side by side there wasno perceptible difference.

Red face Another bug with Neo Reader
Hi,

I want to report another bug with Neo Reader, which I just detected. On scribble mode, If I want to scribble on the very right side of the screen, the scribble mode disappears and movement for scribbling causes text movement. It happened several times, so that I am almost sure that it is a bug.

This happens also on the left side of the screen, may be not so often as on the right side.

I think scribbling mode requires a lot of development, including this one (another one I reported earlier for the landscape mode).
