In the default reader, once I add a bookmark, i'm unable to remove it.

I go to settings -> notes -> bookmarks -> long press -> delete

Close the book, reopen, the bookmarks are still there. Confused...

I can confirm that the new firmware for T68 improve significantly the touchscreen accuracy. Thanks Booxtor.

Issue with M96 update

Hello, I have an issue with my M96. I tried to update from recovery by using update from external sd, but now I am stuck on a recovery bootloop (i.e. my device tries to boot twice, realizes it isn't working, then goes to recovery). I tried installing several different firmware and flashing the recovery via fastboot, but that doesn't seem to be working. I also tried using the recovery tool, however, my computer does not recognize the M96, when in download mode, as an HID device and the mfgtool does not recognize a device.

How to proceed??

Thanks!

On T68 applications that try to remove navigation bar/enter fullscreen can't do it. The navigation/status bar just gets completely black, with no icons and clock, but it's still there. The only apps that seem to be able to really go fullscreen are Onyx readers. Please, allow all apps to go fullscreen in future updates.

Playstore doesn't work on 9/2 upgrade

Anybody else on 9/2 upgrade is having the issue that the Play Store doesn't open ?
I see that it displays its main screen for a fraction of a second but then it goes away ..
I've rebooted and still same behaviour ...

Hi. According to Booxtor advice we need to do factory reset of device so that Play Store be re-signed. I did that for mine and store works now. Please take a look at his notes in message #1 on this very thread. Just navigate to page 1 and take a look at it.

Hope it helps. Cheers.

Yes, you're right and it helped. Thanks!
(I thought the warning was that the upgrade will wipe out the existing login, not that I have to wipe it out myself.)

Amazon (ArtaTech) version for M96 + booxtor updates?

Sadly the ereader-store.de is out of stock. Should have ordered before I went away! I could buy the ArtaTech version from Amazon. (It clearly is the ArtaTech version, at least for amazon.co.uk).

BUT will I then be stuck on old, inferior firmware? Do they roll out booxtor's updates a few weeks later (as some seem to say) or not at all (as others seem to say)? Or, if I can then flash across to the booxtor version.... can someone give me a link to how to do that?

Sorry if there is a full answer to this already somewhere -- I have had a good look and have found conflicting infomation, and things that mostly seem to refer to the T68.

@japinder -- you might add the answer to your wiki?

The ArtaTech firmware is neither superior nor inferior to the Booxter firmware. The differences are well documented here, but the main ones are inclusion of Ivona TTS and a Polish reader store in the Artatech version. And, according to certain posts on here, you can change the firmware if you like.

...but it is not at all easy to actually find the instructions for the M96 as distinct from T68. I've had a good look. Which is also why I think this would be a good addition to the wiki.

I'm not interested in the TTS and Polish store. As I said, I'm interested in updates.... everyone here seems to think they're worth having. So my question is, are the updates pushed to the ArtaTech firmware too, or not? (And how do I change firmware, for this device, if the answer is "not"?)
