The Dictionary function already works.

I took and set up in my Boox several dictionaries from http://stardict.sourceforge.net :
Moby Thesaurus II
WordNet
The Collaborative International Dictionary of English (dictd_www.dict.org_gcide)

For some reason the following dictionary did not work for me:
Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)

However, the Lookup function of the Dictionary does not work yet but as somebody mentioned before, it is planned to be work in next updates when probably the keyboard is implemented universally across the applications and functions.

I've read on a Russian Onyx forum that 16 greyscale is planned to be implemented in Firmware v.1.5.

Nice to hear on the 1.5. From what I'm reading it sounds like 1.5 is really going to make this hardware shine.

Just so I'm clear on the dicts: It supports them as in you can add them and interact with them but you can't look up a word (no keyboard) nor can you lookup a word by double tapping on it? That would be awesome if that is implemented in 1.5 along with the keyboard.

I just placed my order from Dulin's, best deal around right now I think and the shipping rate and return policy seem very reasonable. Thanks much Dulin!

I still encounter problems with all dictionaries. I can apparently only get definition on a word that I highlighted in the text if this word starts with a capital letter... I read that I am not the only one to encounter this issue. Any help on this?

I did not use much this dictionary, but I tried it does not work reliably for me. I mostly use WordNet, which works pretty good for me.

What kind of firmware do you use. I use 1.2.2. Did you try Wordnet?

The standard grayscale is on the moment 8. But, within one of the next firmware updates the grayscale will be 16. Its just waiting for Onyx when they will update the Boox again.

piglab. Sorry to be a pain but where did you get Wordnet in dict format? I could only find it in .prc.

It's the third from the top. Download the tarball then install it like this.

I received my Boox last week, and would love to post a review, but I am upset with how I received it so I want to wait until that is resolved.
I received my Boox from Dulin's Books with postage due and without the wall charger. I sent an email about this but received no reply - perhaps by posting my problem here publicly maybe I'll get a resolution?

I've been talking to Dulin's. There is a huge shortage of wall chargers along with the Booxes. He's a good person so you will be taken care of. Remember, the wall charger is just an adaptor with a plug for USB.

I realize it's just an adaptor with a plug for USB, but I don't have one and don't want to have to pay for one especially since I had to pay $10 to him for the shipping, and then an extra $5 to the post office because it came with postage due. It needs to be charged every couple of days, so always having to connect it to the PC is a pain.

I just got my booxes as well, also without the chargers. My parents were visiting me in Indonesia, so they ordered the booxes in the states and carried them over here for me. When we noticed the lack of chargers, we contacted Dulin's Books, and he is going to ship them to Indonesia at no additional charge. I thought that was great customer service, and I'm sure he'll come through for you, too. It's a difficult time right now, with CNY and product shortages, so I wouldn't worry too much about the delay.

I had to pay for postage because when it was sent, not enough postage was paid, so I either had to pay for the postage due or refuse the package and send it back. Seeing that my credit card had already been charged over two weeks earlier I chose to pay the remaining postage due.
