Thank you. That is how I see it too. There is nothing that I know of in the way of near-term future products that will remotely be viable competition for the Pocket PRO. That is not the Salesman talking... that is just based on facts. The size and lightness will be incredible, the page turns are damned near instantaneous (from my perspective), it supports up to 16GB SD in a dozen formats, has HIGHER resolution, has all those other great features, and comes in the colors CHOSEN by MobileRead Forum members. Then you get the user-switchable battery and the leather case included... THIS should really be a HOT one.

Cannot comment on August 15 but no reason to feel worried yet either.

I do not want to lose a sale... but I also do not want to see you miss out on a great device. I CANNOT and will not violate the NDA and give out a time yet. Every night we are on the phone with the factory trying to make this happen (sometimes until late in the morning). I cannot order a factory to build and ship in honor of your birthday (yet, I personally wish you only the best and a happy birthday).

I know you will love the device. That I am sure about. Will it be worth the wait... undoubtedly "YES". Will I screw up everything by telling you a ship time? No. Not yet and I am sorry about that. What good would it be to you if I get fired? I have to stick with the plan despite wishing only good things coming soon too you.

The important thing on the availibity of the Pocket Pro is not the exact date we will be able to order it, but the fact that it IS coming with the features we want!

So happy that you posted! I think you very, very succinctly hit the nail on the head. It IS coming with the features that you all want if we encourage the factories to want to work closely with us. We see great things coming and reward for all concerned if we can just obey the rules laid down by the NDA.

This is not an easy business. Amazon buys Zappos and B&N teams with Plastic Logic. These things all impact everything that we at Astak do. The Pocket PRO is a break-out for Astak!!

I want to apologize for suggesting you are virtual [you are real, right?] and I want to be the first to say, that if we do manage to buy up all the slate blue Pocket Pros before the ship date, I want you to paint virtual RobertB virtual slate blue.

The Pocket PRO is reality and so am I. It certainly is alive and bright and looking great. The new colors make it just beautiful and the case that comes with it is really first rate.

Thank you, my good friend. That is exactly right. I intend to follow the NDA strictly because to give out info before its time will hurt us all.

People want to know things as soon as they can. I do not blame them. I just have to me a mean and horrible person and reply "I cannot comment". Some are going to kick my butt verbally for this... but it is in all of our best interests. I really believe this. There is too much good waiting to happen if we play things right and do not step on the rules.

I LOVE this device and it is coming!!
