Is Linux Wayland all that bad? Would yes, no, maybe be considered a valid response?

Wayland was supposed to be a replacement for X11 and in some ways succeeds. OTOH, it's application isolation has some issues, screen-recording is still not supported and there are still way too many glitches compared to X11. Part of this seems to be due the fragmentation of Linux implementations.

Is it more likely each flavour of any OS will develop within its own walls rather than reaching out to collaborate? Or am I being a tad too cynical?

As we seem to be getting close to being an OS thread should we move on to something else?

How about is climate change a modern phenomenon?
