I wonder if I'm alone in being confused by the previous question?

Isn't there an alternate version of everyone in each universe in the Multiverse?*
*Each one is different, in some cases drastically different. As an example, on Earth-10 Superman's rocket landed in NAZI-controlled Czechoslovakia. He was found and raised by Adolf Hitler, and as Overman he led the Axis powers to victory in WWII, taking over the entire planet. |

Wouldn't be true that there are many possible Solitaire1s across the Multiverse, each slightly different than the others? Isn't it possible that in another universe chickens became the dominant species and thus all of the Mobileread posters are chickenoid versions of us?

Why wouldn't be possible, either, that this Planet is the only and the solely lively one into the entire Universe, just because the best, just because it doesn't needs any other, and just because the first law of the Universe is kinda "minimum effort, maximum results"?

Is the first law of the universe not total indifference?

Do you spend the evening trying to duct-tape yourself to the ceiling?

Why would I want to duct tape myself to the ceiling? Wouldn't that reduce my lifespan since I'd be further from the Earth, especially if I fell down head first?

Would you not be nearer when you fell?
Should you not have a fall mattress as part of your health and safety requirements? |
