As expressed elsewhere, I find it pretty stable with limits like

wondershaper your_interface_name_eg_enp0s29f7u1 4000 4000

You should also try which values work better for you...

Also, I noticed that parameters like ' -wait 50 -defer 50 ' may impact stability when made too small - again it's a matter of seeing what configuration works better.

Also try other clients, e.g. vino.

We cannot get TeamViewer or NX working with the boards based on I.MX 6SoloLite. That processor has no graphics acceleration, so the operating system does not have the libraries (it misses the "GL" functions) required to run those clients.

They are reported to work on other boards, such as that of the Onyx Boox C67ML. Maybe also see the "Multicore processor" thread. I opened it not for bare thirst for power and need for speed, that matter is that I find it preferable not to have an operating system that misses pieces, hence will not run everything.

Now, that explains everything. Wish I had bothered learning more about its CPU. It really is remarkably underpowered for a complete Android device.

Some people notice each gram of weight. Even this morning I met by chance a review at Booxtor's which praised the MaxCarta, «It's light!».

Myself, I have so many battery backups around I remain surprised. When you are using your device extremely, and away from power sockets, the base idea would be to carry external batteries.

Anyway, I am just finding reasons. Of course I would like the MaxCarta to be well-to-very-well equipped for what the CPU is concerned. Also considering that the strictly hardware extra cost can be negligible (say, within 1% to 5%).

And by the way, "professional" for me assumes and requires "replaceable battery" - too bad the form factor of tablets is not "replaceable battery" friendly. Just saying, maybe one day.

Well, if it already is a phone battery rather than a tablet battery it wouldn't be too hard to put a lid that you could open and switch batteries. Samsung did it for the longest time with their Galaxy line.

That video does not seem to show HDMI capabilities, that looks like VNC (or other remote desktop technology) through USB to me. See that time lag? Now I'll be listening more carefully...

EDIT: sorry to write something terribly, violently unpleasant, but that lag is very comparable to the one I get using desktop remote technologies with these slower former Onyx devices. The mouse cursor has a lag, which is the same annoyance and fault that hinders the ability of using the monitor capability proficiently with current material.

So, constructively: the best bet seems still to use remote desktop technology - or even a tweak of the HDMI capability - with the "local mouse" option: the mouse is rendered locally and the screen update comes when it comes, with no hurry. But to my experience, a slow mouse is existential angst incarnated. It's like voice delay in telecommunications. The mouse cursor must be responsive for proficient use.
In clearer terms, my bet and hope is that the "local mouse" renders slowly on the legacy devices because they are slow, but that it will render quickly and promptly on the new Rockchip based devices.

Sorry! There is still space for improvement, the game is certainly not lost. We may not be there yet.

And, I would like to see (I will sooner than you think, in a few days): NX? TeamViewer?

Delayed immediate rebuttal: we can safely agree that the slow chip on the flagship was not a good thing to propose.

Important, see above: do you have lags of that magnitude with your Dasung monitor? If you put the source and the Dasung close, how big is the time difference between the two? How responsive is the mouse?

I agree with you! The delay of the mouse or the typing is absolutely too much! Actually I bought my Paperlike Pro one month ago and it's really not comparable for the responsiveness and delay to the Onyx Boox in that video.

Do you have any perceivable lag? If you put traditional monitor and Dasung in the same cone of view, do they update simultaneously, or almost, or...
