The Sony PRS-T1 driver is part of the standard Calibre build as long as you have an up-to-date build. What version are you using (the current one being 0.8.38)

Right guys ready to scream!! I have taken the advice and updated Calibre to now avail!
How do I then create a collection using Calibre to ensure that the new changes are taken in to account? Do I need to a specific tags or anything? I cant believe E readers are so hard to set up!! Mike |

Thanks for the support, I need it!!
At the moment I have it so the collections within the reader is sorting in author list which is great. However there is no series in sight? I bought the first 4 Dresden files and have named the series and numbered the book accordingly. When going on to reader the books are under Butcher, Jim but no mention of the Dresden files anywhere? Any thoughts? Mike |

Preferences> Change Calibre Behaviour>plugins > device interface plugins
If you have the most update version of Calibre you should have it. Ignore me too slow. |

Cheers Helen an Polar. Ive got somewhere now it appears they are all in the right order now which is great. Is there any way to have the collections in author order with the collections being sorted within this? I.e, I have a number of Harlen Cobhen books. Some are in the Myron Bolitar series others are not. How could I have Calibre bring these up in series order within an author field?
I really do appreciate the help and the fact that I am probably doing all your heads in!! Mike |

Check the thread in my long post. Scroll down till you see Jackie_W post with thumbnail. Click thumbnail. This is a really good method.
My collections are in author_sort order (last name first) because that is how I like them. My books are sorted within the collections. You must must must customize the T1 plugin for the collections to be the way you want them. Then convert books and resend. Then create plugboard as per My long post or Jackie_W thread. resend. Sounds like you are making progress. It can be a bit painful to get every detail, but once it works it will keep on working with no effort ![]() Helen |

Forgot to mention, click Jackie_W's thumbnail to see end result. Jackie_W is among the many brilliant programmers who constantly improve calibre. Too many to mention them all but top notch people every one.
BTW our reading tastes are similar. I am at book 6 I think in the Dresden files and I love Harlen Coben. Helen |

Thanks for your help on this Helen really appreciate it. I have finally got things sorted to a level where I am happy. Ye its good to find someone with similar tastes! I have only just stared that Dresden files about 60 pages through the first book and loving it at the moment. I am not usually a big fantasy fan but I thought why not have a go and I am glad I did. I just find it really accessible.
As for Harlen Cobhen I really cant get enough of his writing style! Have you read the Myron Bolitar series? I am just starting on them after reading all his stand alone novels. Have you read anything by Martina Cole? Mike |

You're welcome.
I have read Martina Cole, but years ago. Cannot remember which book(s). I think you would like Robert Tanenbaum. Well enough Off topic. Don't want to be reprimanded ![]() You might consider looking into formatting of ebooks at this point. I have my conversion preferences setup so that most books have the same justification, line breaks etc. Makes a big difference to me in the comfort of my reading experience. Another place calibre excels is in downloading metadata, series, series numbers etc. If you haven't tried it you should. Of course you may already have done all that. Helen |

Lol yep back on topic save that for another time
![]() So how does this formatting work? Is that things like space between words and paragraphs etc? Sounds interesting and something that I will definitely look to use as Ive already found that each book can differ a lot how it looks on the Reader. Brought it back on topic now ![]() Mike |
