It's better to be on the safest side though...
A micro SD card usually comes with a micro SD to SD adaptor and as far as I remember they don't come in SDHC format. They are a tad slower but use less power than regular SD cards (I'm talking about mere milli or micro Watts of benefit, so you won't really notice the difference),and they're still fast enough to stream movies (upto 480p HD .avi movies) from.

Several reasons really. It can paly Music and Audible all of which could consumes many gigs of space. I could almost fill a 16gb card with just my audible content. I would never use my reader for audible (I use my ipod or blackberry for that) but there it is :-)

why use a card? because its easier for ME to control and manage. I don't do DRM so I just pop the SD or Mem Stick card into the reader slot and copy what I want to it and pop it into the reader. Makes it nice and easy :-) I can even find a book on my Phone download it to a micro sd card and insert that (with adapter) into the reader (caution some adapters are a wee thicker and HARD to insert into the reader don't break it)

all while "out and about" this gives me "kindle" like access without the annoyance of a kindle or the cost :-)

yes MSD's do come in SDHC flavors. I have an 8gb card in my blackberry and 16gb cards are common now. I do not like MSD's though extremely extremely fragile.

I have a wee camera that I put in rockets that takes them and I do not use it anymore. the cards get damaged 90% of the time when I fly it. They just can not take any sort of stress.
