Thanks for the latest update and fixes! I really appreciate all the hard work you put into this amazing plugin !

Very recently I stumbled across a test-version (?) of AO3 and was wondering if you could include it or if this is something I could do myself? I found that it still has some very old, now-deleted fics I'd like to save but going through 1.5k of stories manually is a lot of work...

If you want to temporarily alter your copy of FFF to download from test.archiveofourown.org instead of archiveofourown.org, that wouldn't be hard to do.

Fair enough, thank you for your quick answer . If you have any suggestions on what I should look up to find out how to do it, I'll happily take them. I have no clue about programming but I'm able to recognise patterns, and imitate and alter them.

I take it I have to alter the adapter file for AO3. At least it looks like the most logical place so far .

@serana, alter fanficfare/adapters/adapter_archiveofourownorg.py to change archiveofourown.org in the getSiteDomain(), getAcceptDomains(cls) and getSiteURLPattern(self) methods.

Can I use another column than Y/N column to show status of a story? I've tried with a fixed set of Permitted Values (shown in screenshot), but it didn't work. It added In-Progress to an incomplete story but didn't add complete to one that was.

Try it with Completed with a 'd'.

Be aware that some sites have other status values beyond simply In-Progress and Completed. If you're using a text column, I wouldn't limit it to a permitted values set.

So, I stepped away from Calibre and FFF for awhile and recently came back to it. I did something somewhere that broke it, but I am not sure where since I am really rusty after my "hiatus" from the plugin.

When I pull a fic from ao3 it doesn't seem to be picking up any freeformtags at all. How I have it set up, and how it always has worked, is it pulls the tags into the tag column unaltered. It uses replace_metadata to clean up somewhat, and then uses include_metadata to stick cleaned up tags into a couple custom columns. It would leave the original unaltered tags in the stock Tags column. Now it seems like it just isn't getting the tags at all. It gets all the other info fine. Title, fandom, pairings, rating, etc.

I'm sure I am explaining this horribly so I am going to post my ini here.

I'm sure it is something small interfering and if you point me in the right direction, I can figure it out. Thanks!

EDIT: I almost immediately remembered that calibre debug existed and fixed it my own self. Sorry to bother!

@Loba - Have you updated to the most recent Calibre and FFF versions?

Can you provide a few story URLs that exhibit the problem? FFF is collecting AO3 metadata fine for me.

I pretty much immediately figured it out after posting (isn't that the way?) it was a stray | at the beginning of the Regex in the replace_metadata entry that was causing the issue. Thanks for the quick reply, and sorry for the bother.

Alright, I have another more specific question. I am getting the following error:

FFF: INFO: 2019-08-10 17:32:47,246: calibre_plugins.fanficfare_plugin.fanficfare.story(605): Skipping replace_metadata line freeformtags,warnings=>^(([Aa]ttempted.)?([Ss]uicid.*)|([Ss]elf.?[Hh]arm)|([Cc]utting))$=>Self Harm\,Mental Health/Illness to prevent infinite recursion.

I am thinking it's taking the tag Self-Harm and changing it to Self Harm and then catching itself again because Self Harm still matches with [Ss]elf.?[Hh]arm.

Do you know of a way I can write this so it will still catch Self-Harm, selfharm, Self harm, etc. and replace it without causing a loop like this?
