I reinstalled Bookari because I had changed the Tab Pro 8.4 OS to the CM 13 Marshmallow (6.01) as Samsung no longer supported the Tab Pro or any intention to update the OS. Also had uninstalled Aldiko because it had problems with 2 column landscape mode font size as well a displaying (not displaying) the full page cover on a Fire HDX 8.9. Also started to use CC as the library management for "permanent" books/docs/usermanuals. Still a problem with the way font sizes are handled as it looks to work of regular books but wouldn't work on some other epub files (too tiny & could not be made larger). MoonReader reads the same file normally. |

If you're having trouble with a particular de-DRM'd epub not font resizing at all, I'd advise looking inside it with an epub editor (calibre or Sigil). It may be that the internal CSS is storing its font-sizes in absolute units (e.g. pt or px) rather than the more sensible proportional units (e.g. em or %). It doesn't surprise me that Moon+ seems to solve your problem as it has a tendency to trample all over any carefully crafted internal CSS. This can be seen as a Good Thing or a Bad Thing depending on your point-of-view. You can probably deduce from my wording that I'm in the latter camp ![]() P.S. I also have a Samsung TabPro 8.4, but I'm too chicken to attempt rooting! |

If it's any consolation; I just tried logging in/joining using both the email (other than gmail) method and the "I don't use social media" method. and experienced nothing but failure and errors. It never crashed on me, but I certainly couldn't get anything working either. It told me I had succesfully "joined" using the "I don't use social media" route, but I still couldn't sign in (and haven't yet recieved the confirmation email that was supposed to be forthcoming).
It's unclear to me what the difference is between logging in via email and choosing "I don't use social media". They would seem to be the same thing. Anyway ... it's not just you, if that helps at all. ![]() |

The new app still has problems with fonts, so I guess I shouldn't expect much on other stuff if displaying a book doesn't even work. I usually use Moon+, but some books have formatting that I really would like to see. I only want to be able to choose my font, margins, justification, and line spacing if it's too much. I don't think that should be a problem, but apparently it is. Here's an example of font override working on italics only: |

I have no trouble with overriding fonts, justification, margins and line spacing; but then I edit all of my epubs to make sure there's no css/coding that would prevent it before loading them into Mantano/Bookari.

I've used it successfully, but it took me a while to figure it out (when all else fails, RTFM
![]() I found the progress sync-ing to work most reliably when opening Bookari via its Android icon rather than opening a book via Calibre Companion widget or BookDetails - maybe because CC bypasses the Bookari home pages (where the sync symbols are visible ???) when opening/closing the book. However I have had it work correctly using CC-only as long as I didn't swap between Android devices too quickly. ETA: I also got into the habit of manually forcing a sync before closing the book. I didn't want to use my Google email, I wanted to use my email that I use for junk. Since the other options don't work the sync doesn't work for me. I found another huge problem I think when using with CC. I had a problem with missing books in CC and it looks like Mantano moved them, so it's not compatible with CC. Did you have a problem with this? This screenshot shows what happens. |
