This is why this forum is so great. If no one else is having a problem, I re-think. By restarting my Nexus my problems cleared up. Thanks.

I've had crashes myself since the name change it doesn't seem stable at all. I can't even start it at the minute it crashes everytime on my LG-G3 it did initially start so maybe a reboot.

Nope still crashing on startup even freshly booted might be forced to clear data and try or just use moon+.

Reluctantly deleted the data knowing I'd lose bookmarks etc somehow it still crashes on launch for me I'm out of ideas even tried deleting the Mantano folder manually.

The only thing I can figure is letting it have access to my Google account the first time it ran has completely broken it to the state it won't even work from a fresh install.

The only glitch I've noticed so far, is a weird screen-flash just before the page turns with the page-turn animation enabled. Only moving forward, though. It doesn't happen when going to the previous page. Turned off the animation for now.

No crashes, and I'm always returned to the same place in the book I Ieft off with, on my Nexus 7 (2013).

Hi dear all,
Thanks a lot for your feedback: instead of having some rest, I have rushed on a dev machine and fixed the stupid crash issue which happened at startup after signin in. What a poor UX ! No luck. Sorry about that.
I am already preparing the APKs to publish an update later today but I'll carefully test and test again.
Maybe if some of you could accept to join the beta testers group, I could provide the app for testing on the Beta-channel. Would you mind doing so ? If you agree, please send me your emails to let's say... my initials at mantano dot com, OK ?

I'll now have a look at the issues that @DiapDealer and PeaceRidge mention.

Thanks for the report.
The glitch is probably because you turned the page shortly after the current one was displayed: the pre-renendering was probably not finished. It's now slightly longer since we've improved the rendering quality (a lot of people complained about issues in the color fidelity). We decided to put emphasis on color fidelity and do s small compromise on pure speed. Hope it's ok like that.

I can confirm I tried it again there and it actually did start so I think maybe some server side problem was causing the issue (I skipped the social media part this time) of an instant crash not sure if deleting the folder earlier had any effect as it didn't at the time.

Unfortunately I work later today on a night shift so I'll have to get back to the beta idea at a later date as I should really get to bed.

Edit: just occurred to me I was on airplane mode when I did get it to start I can see that might be useful info and also might confirm the whole server side angle and possibly help others in the same situation so last thing I do today is post this quick edit.

Sorry to see that you are on a night shift today! FYI I have decided to push an update, since it really seems to fix the issue, at least in the cases that I have tested. I can't let this disaster continue longer (it's really a shame to crash after signin in...).

I doesn't seem to matter if I turn the page immediately, or if I wait a while (typical time it takes to read the page). It's no big deal though--it's barely noticeable. If I can't tune it out, I'll just turn it off. I mostly use the EPUB3 engine anyway (no page-turn animation).

EDIT: After further experimentation, the "flash" I'm experiencing before the page-turn animation only happens when I "tap" to advance the page. Everything works smoothly and flash-free if I "swipe" to turn the page. If only I was a swiper and not a tapper!

When I tried to set up syncing by email address Bookari crashed. This was both on my Samsung S6 phone and Tab S tablet using the app from Amazon. The S6 is Lollipop and the Tab S is Kitkat. When I went back into the app I was signed in, but syncing doesn't appear to work. Should a message pop up telling me that I was on a different page on a different device?

Why is the font "sizer" +, - only seen in portrait mode in display?

How do I change font types in Bookari? Thought there was a font item for changing font types in Mantano.

Personal preference of wanting the "explorer" as a separate icon again instead of under the "add" icon; had thought that the "add" was for adding books. I like the idea of being able to read a book/document without adding the book to the library since the document is unfinished &/or may only be the 1st chapter of many more chapters when a light novel has been completely translated.

You access it via 'Themes' on the menu strip.
