I very much prefer a reader which honours the style sheet. |

Agreed Mantano is best for complex styles. It's the only one that displays external stylesheets correctly. However all I read is novels so I don't need it to.
My problem with Mantano is font sizes. Either too big or too small and it doesn't have time left to read feature which is a must for me. |

That's my number one beef with Moon+ as well. The ability for the user to override the formatting in just about every way possible is all well and good--it's a great feature in fact (especially for shoddily produced books). But it's a real shame that turning off all of the overrides in Moon's settings doesn't result in the base-line publisher defaults. It's a deal-breaker for me.

DiapDealer, did you use the "Preview with publisher formatting" button?

It's close, but still no cigar. And what's worse, the 'Preview with Publisher Formatting' button switches to a weird, vertical scrolling thing instead of the normal 'paging.' Preview With is clearly designed as more of a Take a Quick Peek type of thing (hence the name 'preview'), rather than Read with publisher defaults.
To me, Moon+ is great for those who are looking to completely homogenize their reading experience from book-to-book. I, on the other hand, only want to tweak the publisher version if there's something so distracting about it that I just can't continue. In which case I'll just edit the epub directly to fix that (edits which Moon+ may or may not display properly, I might add). Last edited by DiapDealer; 12-23-2013 at 08:23 AM. |

Formatting is important to me too. I want only to choose my base my font size and face, background and foreground color, and page margin. To me, those settings should be left to the user agent anyway and not set by the book (except maybe for font family, which should be overrideable).
An ebook does not have the usual indicators of quality (beside the content itself) like cover, paper stock, typography, binding, etc. It only has: editing (no typo etc) and formatting. Even in a simple novel, proper formatting gives clear indication of chapters, scene breaks, block quotes, etc and makes you feel like you are reading a book and not just a long series of paragraphs. It's not good when an ebook reader breaks or strips the formatting. |

To be honest, I have no idea. I don't use Mantano's sync feature. I read on one device.
Hopefully someone who uses the feature will come along soon and can fill you in on those details. |

I think they won't integrate dropbox properly because they want to sell their mantano sync which doesn't even work for me it's easily my number one flaw with Mantano. My advice if you want proper dropbox usage get Fabrik Pro it's not as nice a reader but at least it doesn't charge you for something as simple as syncing and it works. |

I have used Fabrik Pro in the past and currently use Moon+ Pro. In both cases, it was the ability to sync with Dropbox that drew me to the app. I was hoping Montano would give me a third option for Dropbox syncing, but I guess not.
