I put two screenshots up, the first is from the current Mantano, the second from the beta. Settings (except colours) are the same:
Font: default
Line height: 1.2
Text alignment: default
Margins: 10

Yet with the original version of Mantano, my lines are slightly longer and I find easier to read.

I haven't tried the beta, but based on the description and screenshots, I agree with all of this. I have no interest in LARPing the act of reading on paper, particularly if it erodes the advantages of reading on an electronic device.

I agree with all of this too. I've liked the light version so much that I was almost ready to go ahead & purchase even though the paid version is in beta right now, however I would consider all of the above items to be dealbreakers.

The version at Amazon is the old Mantano 2.1.1. I have it on my phone and no plans to upgrade to 2.22.

2.1.2 looks to be the last version I like if Amazon ever gets it. I don't like the direction the app is going in the beta version.

Just a word for Connie:

We don't have a trial (we have the Lite but it has less features). But don't hesitate purchasing the Premium, and if you are not satisfied, please contact us and we'll refund you. We cannot handle thousands of refund requests, so... don't repeat it :-) It's an exceptional treatment which obviously does not scale !

I use Ivona TTS on the Pro version. It works very well.

I guess I'm in the minority in this thread, but I like that the animation simulates page turns. I've always been partial to that sort of thing. Sliding page turns wreck havoc on my eyes for some reason. I've tried different epub books and manga in the beta app, and things look great. Still hoping for an option for larger font on the main screen.

Sliding is also an animations. I want an instant page turning. The option to turn it off is mandatory for me to use an ereading app. The same for that silly "there's plenty of pages below this one" background...

I like the page turn and the pages below stuff....looks fantastic and reads well!

I just wish touching the side would do the page "flip" rather than "roll", but I'm splitting hairs...it's a perfect reader for me...been using the beta over the premium since announced on Facebook
