If that setting would simply be set to last used, or make it a menu preference, it would save button clicking.
+1

My other issue is that Mantano keeps just disappearing from my phone. It may be some weird issue with my ROM or something (I have been messing with my phone and swapping ROMs quite a bit), but I keep having to reinstall Mantano, then I'll look for it a week later and it's not there. I don't use it on my phone all that often, but it would be nice if it was there when I want it.

I also have run into the same problem with Mantano disapperaring. In my case it's with a HTC Flyer tablet. I also have a Sony S tablet but I do not believe it has ever been an issue with the Sony. I have not found a cause or solution with the HTC I simply reinstall whenever it happens.

Yep, I also have it on my Nook Color where I actually use it, and there it stays put. It's just my Xperia X10 that seems to spontaneously uninstall it, and I haven't noticed any other apps disappearing.

Hi

I have been using Mantano (paid version) on my galaxy tab 7.7 for a while. I updated my tab to ics (from honeycomb) yesterday and now am unable to close Mantano normally - stuck in a 'press back once more to exit' loop.

Is anyone else using Mantano on a device with ics? Does anyone else have this issue?

I use Mantano with ICS and have no problem. Also paid version. I assume you have tried to restart the tablet?

Yes, + uninstalled & re-installed Mantano. Might do a factory reset and install everything from scratch if I get time on the weekend and see if that makes any difference. At least I know now that it is probably my device rather than ICS that is the issue.

I've just got a new phone, a HTC One X and installed Mantano on it. I loaded on some books I got from BookOnBoard and Baen and none of them would display covers or load.

I'm getting this issue with three separate devices on three different versions of Android: Samsung Galaxy Tab with ver2.2, HTC Desire HD with ver 2.3.5, and now the One X with ver 4.0.3.

This is getting annoying and even though I raised a support ticket on Mantano's site, I've got no response from them.

This is driving me use a different app.

Oh that's Great.

I go back to the Mantano support site (Zen desk) and find it no longer exists. I go to the new Community Center support pages and find none of my open ticket transfered across.

Looks like I'll have to reopen them here.

I read books I downloaded from Baen in Mantano without any problems at all. Do they show up so you can select them when you do an import? Are you sure the files actually are in EPUB format? You can verify that using a file browser. When you download from Baen you can select a lot of different formats and even as an ebook format inside a zipped file.

If you download from the tablet it may be best to download unzipped EPUB files.

Yes they are epubs and I can open them in Sigil, and I did select them perfectly fine from an import as that's how I insert them in the library.

Nothing I've been able to do in Sigil can fix them either.

Not all the Baen books has this issue but all the BoB ones do.

They open perfectly well in Bluefire, but I don't like it as a reader.

I've gone to the Mantano website to add this to their support forum but I can find no way to login/register there.

I've created a trail cloud account to see if that helps but it makes no difference. The only information I can find is on a news article on their site from March 2nd and they say to click on one of the social network buttons above the search box.

This repesents two issues for me: 1. I don't use social networking sites and have no logins for them. 2. There are no buttons above the search box to click on.

I've tried IE 9 (with and without compatibility selected), FF 13 and Chrome 20, none of these have any buttons.

Is this just me, or are others having issues with this.

Anybody having a problem with sync on Nexus 7? Reader and sync work well on Xoom and Galaxy 7 plus, but I cannot get it working on Nexus. It connects to cloud, starts downloading covers, it takes few hours for 400 covers. Then downloads few books and gets stuck. If I cancel the sync, it shows my books, but I cannot open any of them. When trying, it says "opening book" and stays there forever. I uninstalled, deleted all Mantano files, started again, the same problem.

I think the folks at Mantano are on hiatus. Probably in anticipation of the problems expected with Jelly Bean.

I am also having problems with Mantano and my Nexus 7;

Regards - John

I've been using Mantano Lite on my Nexus 7 with no problems, and I'm considering paying for either Mantano Essentials or Pro. While I would like the filters & search options listed for the Pro version, my main goal is access to additional background & font colors. Can anyone comment on whether Mantano offers as much color customization as Moon+?

Having used a Nook Color for the past 2+ years, I became very partial to the stock night mode, which seemed to be more of a charcoal color than a true black. I find the true black w/ bright white text in most night modes is rather hard on my eyes & I prefer that softer charcoal with a pale gray font. I can achieve this with the free version of Moon+, but unless I'm missing it, that app doesn't have as much library management or provide creation of shortcut widgets.
