Well I for one think Mantano is a fantastic epub reader and really appreciate your work.

If I hadn't already purchased it, I wouldn't hesitate to pay for it after a short period with the free version.

The improvements on opds support don't cover the calibre server problem. Next time maybe?

You can have both installed it seems. So if you missing out on new features due to buying from Amazon the Free version and Paid version will work together. I just tested it.

If port 80 is available on your system, I suggest changing the port setting for calibre's content server to port 80. Thanks for your help. Even though messing with servers and routers is a little beyond me, I was able to switch calibre from port 8080 to port 80 and ... port 80 doesn't work for me. I did some googling and figured out how to find open ports on my computer. Tried one of them, it works for Aldiko but not for Mantano.

I also found some info about how to free up port 80 but, I'm with blak4dr on this one:

Just installed version 1.6.3 and Project Gutenberg now works. Little steps.

So far, I have zero regret about buying Mantano, I'd probably have done the same if the free version were available when I first looked at it.

Does anyone have calibre2opds and dropbox set up with Mantano? I just can't get it work. It works in Aldiko for me but not in Mantano. Should I have the output set to opds or something different?

I'm using this setup with a public DropBox folder. Can I help with something specific? Did you get the catalog to generate and you're trying to get Mantano to recognize it (the URL)?

I didn't know you could do that with Mantano...I just do it through my web-browser. Move the file to where I store my books.

yes - i have the catalog generated and it works with aldiko but when i try to add the new catalog in mantano it just opens and says "no results". Am I right in using the .xml file and having the calibre2opds set to opds output?

I had the same issue. Make sure there are no spaces in the URL. The name I gave my library (DropBox folder) had spaces. So, the URL had spaces. I had something like /calibre library/ instead of /calibrelibrary/.

Yes, you want the compatibility level to be "OPDS". Is that what you're referring to. See screenshot.
