Hi Gamba66,
Glad you're still around - you are our only source of first-hand info about the E920 :-) You could be right about "downgrade" as the E930 is slightly cheaper than the E920. It's for that reason, plus the frontlight and smaller size, that I am considering it. My N800 has proven to be a solid, well-built device, with very stable software. However, the zoom function for pdf is very basic (no point-to-point, no crop margins). Is this the same on the E920? |

Hi Jmirko!
![]() No, its not the same, while the E920 has very basic options for .epub, .mobi etc. it has a variety of zoom functions for PDF filetypes. I was very surprised to find out it has nearly the same options as the M92 had, it has point-to-point, crop margins, fit to height or width, it even has glyph emboldening or text darkening! (whatever you call that) I will take a closer look at the zoom options so I can tell you exactly what kinds there are, there are so many that I can't remember them all out of my head now xD |

Good news, thanks! It makes sense for a 10-inch reader to have decent pdf functionality I guess. I hope it's the same on the E930.
I think Hanvon is the most advanced ereader manufacturer currently - pity they don't sell and support them in Europe or the U.S. By the way, I asked the admins to create a Hanvon subsection under Other devices (even providing statistics to show that this is justified) but they haven't done this so far. |

I'd love a 9.7"onyx 97 to be 300 dpi like the Kindle Voyage.

¿Any speculation on a possible release date?
I am looking for a new device to replace my old irex 1000, but if this is gonna released "soon", I could wait a few months more |

If they are (or were recently) still collecting ideas, I think the commercial release is at least a year away.

As you could see from the questionnaire Onyx is already developing new models.
Booxtor is testing several new Onyx devices. Please see zeng's post about new Onyx readers. |

Faster 85HZ capacitive multi touch screen so no need for stylus. Resolution is only 1200×825. Anyway would love to try this before buy. |

There has been speculation that the screen on the M96C is darker and has less clarity than the screen on the M96. If that is the case and because there is no built-in light, I wonder if that might spell disaster? -- Or perhaps keep people would continue to opt for the M96 ?

Wishes:
1. Increased screen resolution 2. Systemwide dictionaries as good those for Kindle (mobi format accepted maybe?) that can find conjugated verbs/ words with inflexions etc... + Vocabulary Trainer. The dictionaries are the most important reason for me to keep to Kindle/ kindle system. I haven't found stardict dictionaries yet as good as, say, Collins or Pons dictionaries for Kindle... (if there are such dictionaries somewhere, please let me know!). |

As for the Hanvon, their website says it runs Win CE - not Android.
