Look for them under the Docs tab. If the pdf doesn't have DRM, you should just be able to drag and drop it (or whatever method you prefer) and it should show up.

Actually I think if you use ADE to push the file even DRM ones will work although I haven't tried that. They will also be on the DOCS tab along with html files and CBZ files.

You should be able to zoom the PDF in landscape mode and size it smaller. Check the menu. Zooms will often go off the sides so there is the arrows on the edges showing you that you can pan the screen. You have to use the small buttons on the edge of the keypad to pan around. The page keys can not be used to pan the screen, they will switch pages. It is not ideal but it does work.

You can transfer any PDF books from your Literati to the Calibre program, and then use Calibre to convert to EPUB.

Yes. BUT. The pdf format is very difficult to convert properly. Often the results are poor. I try to avoid pdf's.

This is not a Literati or a Calibre problem. It's just the way pdf's are.

I called 10 days ago to follow up and was told I would have it early this week, but it's still not here.
I suspect the delay is due to the fact that they're phasing out this version of the Literati and supposedly coming out with a new one - they may not have enough to go around. Might be waiting for some to come in so they can refurbish them or something. Of course if that's the case they should just tell you that, but they probably don't want to have to say that out loud.

I haven't found ePub to be "better", aside from being available from more sources. (By the way, Kindle supports more than one format.)

You don't have to keep the books you've already read on the K3 - you can delete them from the K3 and they'll stay in your Amazon archives in case you want to read them again. If it would make you feel better about deleting them, you can back them up on your computer first, then delete them. I only keep books I haven't read yet on my K2 (or any of my readers) - once I've read them, I delete them.

Was Tickled to get the Laterati that does!! Great for Library book also!! But as I said the Kindle is full of the ebooks I paid for! And I have no clue how to remove Kindles DRM to fix them so I can use the Litarti & SDCard to save them! Thing is I only had the Kindle since Jan 20th!!
If those books on the SD card don't have DRM then you can put them into Calibre and convert them to .mobi for the Kindle, then move them to the Kindle. Of course you said it's almost full so that's a moot point unless you want to move the books you've already read off the Kindle.

If you only read novels then they are similar but AZW format can't do any of the fancy formatting needed for more complicated books. There is also TPZ which is another proprietary format from Amazon but no general eBook formats can be read on a Kindle. TPZ adds a few features such as embedded fonts but it still less capable than ePUB. PDF is available on some models but it is not a very good reading format on small devices. I am happy you like your Kindle but it is pretty limited. Check the MOBI forum to see all the problems people have trying to release eBooks for Amazon.

Here's my latest update. I called their customer service again yesterday. I was told that my replacement has not yet shipped, and the guy said he had no idea when it might because they are out of these and waiting for more. I asked him if they were still producing new ones or are they doing refurbs. He told me they are producing new ones. But of course someone else told me 2 weeks ago that mine had shipped. The guy I talked to yesterday told me to call back every 3 days and ask about my replacement. I didn't get upset with him on the phone, but I bet they are getting a lot of irate phone calls. I just figure it doesn't do any good to fuss at a customer service rep who has no control over my replacement anyway. So....I guess I'll just call back about once a week until something happens!
