Please note that I compressed the files within the .zip; they need to be unzipped before you can 'use' them. - oeb12.oeb is the text (OEBFF) container used by eBook Publisher and appears to NOT be a standard (given the blank stares here... The .html displays properly in a web browser and should convert to .prc with the proper device dimensions (I used 600x800 here).
![]() - pdfread-oeb12-opf contains a directory with the .opf, .html and images that you can use opf2mobi to create a .prc from the output of PDFRead v1.8. |

Thanks Tommy for adding in the Image extraction functionality, I'll have a play getting the Windows GUI for Mobi2Mobi to have image previews now when you load a eBook.
Thanks for Win32 compiles as well Gudy. Saved me having to figure it out. |

Tommy the way you changed the image handling seems to work a treat. I tested my test eBook and I get the proper sized Cover Image now and the correct Thumbnail sized one on the TOC page. Excellent work.
Cheers |

I added MobiPerl to the new MobileRead development hub. It is at:
https://dev.mobileread.com/trac/mobiperl/ There is a track system there and I tried to add tickets for suggestions and bugs. I have probably forgotten many of them. So if you miss any suggestion add it as a ticket or repeat it here and I will add it so I do not forget it. The code is in subversion so anybody can check out the latest version or a specific version. But do not assume that all versions will work. |

I just added a link to the old documentation so I have to fix this in some way. I have to read about the trac wiki and see if I should put it there or somewhere else like in the MobileRead wiki. The advantage to put it in the MobileRead wiki is that other people can write the documenation...

v0.0.36 bug report
I'm using the windows binaries for v.36. When I try to set a value for publisher, it does not appear in Mobipocket Reader.
I used a command line such as mobi2mobi 3xT.prc --title "3xT " --author "Harry Turtledove " --outfile 3xT.prc --publisher "Baen Books" I also tried reversing the last two arguments to put the outfile last, with same results. when I examined the file using mobi2mobi 3xt.prc it shows that a publisher has been set, but the value does not show up in mobipocket Reader. I'm not really worried about this, but it's mildly irritating. I only notice it compared to the newest Baen books which have the publisher already set. Roger |

There was a bug in version 0.0.36 and all before so setting publisher for a PalmDoc Mobi file (like the ones from Baen) did not work. This should be fixed in version 0.0.37. Let me know if you still have problem with this version.
You can also use "--exthtype publisher --exthdata Baen" to set the publisher. |

I keep getting an error when running...
Mobi2MobiGUI and MobiPerl.
Something about not resolved class or something like that. It takes me setting the Mobi2Mobi directory and the Output directory, but it gives me errors every time I try to Open File. Specifically, I get a Method not found: 'System.String System.Windows.Forms.OpenFileDialog.get_SafeFileNa me()' error message. I've got ActivePerl 5.10 installed and MobiPerl (and Mobi2MobiGui) set up in the directory c:\MobiPerl. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Derek |

tompe:
Some intereseting stuff being discussed in the Fictionwise forum about the quality of code generated by Mobipocket Creator vs. Mobiperl starting at post #23 in their perl script thread. Maybe you can shed some light on the discussions there or bring them over here. |

I have a problem with html2mobi. the created mobi file has all of my text centered, but the original html file (checked with firefox and internet explorer) does not have the text centered. I think maybe it is because certain sections (such as chapter headings) are centered using this:
<p align="center"> could it be that html2mobi doesn't handle that tag, yet? if i replace all of those instances with the <center> tag, would that fix my problem? |
