From: Dresden Files Wiki Big Apocalyptic Trilogy The Big Apocalyptic Trilogy is the name given for the intended last books of the The Dresden Files series. Description Edit According to Jim Butcher he intends to capstone the Dresden Files with a "Big Apocalyptic Trilogy" because "who doesn't like Apocalyptic Trilogies?" He originally intended for the Dresden Files to contain 20 Case Files and then finish off with the Trilogy but has stated in several signing sessions that the events that take place in Changes were intended to happen at the book 10 midpoint, so the casefiles may run as high as 22-24 books. The titles for the trilogy are: Hell’s Bells, Stars and Stones, and Empty Night. References: 2010 Huston Signing 2009 Chicago Signing Even though the references were a bit old there was some information included in the above quote that I'd not seen before." __________________ The above was copied from a post by Alan Feb. 21, 2012 in this thread. I thought I remembered you had posted this! Now you will never, ever not remember "Empty Night!" ![]() ![]() I hope those are the titles -- so appropriate!! ![]() |

"Let's Dance" - Honor Harrington
*Ha* what a coincidence - Like Dresden, Honor is currently under the sword of Damocles .... However, its her Naval career at risk, not her life.

The Honorverse
![]() I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to read through all of the technical stuff at the ends of More Than Honor and In Fire Forged. I read through a lot of the historical info, but not all of it. |

I didn't like the combination of a detective story and magic. It felt to me that the reader is not in the position to figure the mystery. Magic can always make things reasonable, when logic failes. I will read Fool Mool to give this series another chance. I want to see why alansplace is so hooked by these books. ![]() @alansplace What was it that the author wanted to prove to his professor? |

I posted the opposite (Rothfuss Interviewing Butcher) of this interview a while back and thought this one was interesting as well.

I watched the whole DF TV series a few years ago, but just jumped into the first audiobook a couple weeks ago. I was skeptical, as I am going into all fantasy and the "urban" variety in particular, but I ended up burning through it in about three days. Harry is a great character, and the book had a great balance of action and humor.
