Well...everybody has their own tolerances. I don't want ads on my Kindle, or any other place so...but then again, I know quite a few people that don't mind them, in order to buy a less-pricey reader.

Are people misunderstanding what is meant by "opt in for ads" (or am I)? Isn't that the opt-in to get Audible e-mails, and not advertisements within your audiobook?

Perhaps. I though that ads within your audiobook was what was meant, kind of like DVD's use to have a bunch of trailers at the front you couldn't skip through. Maybe I misunderstood.

If you are waiting for Battle Ground from a U.S. library and have a Kindle, you may want to check if it is available in Kindle format.

I checked out Battle Ground this morning (from the Brooklyn Public Library) and it wasn't available in the Kindle format.

Actually, at this rate, I think I'll wait even longer. Dunno what it is, but I seem to have disengaged from old Harry at some point...I don't really think it was even the ridiculously long wait; something in the storylines just...meh. Oh, well, I hope all of you enjoy the hell out of them!

It almost always takes about a day for the Kindle version to make it to Overdrive. I expect it to be ready tomorrow morning but we'll see. In the past I've just read the online version until the Kindle version is available then downloaded that.

Still not sure. At some point, before The Great Drought, I realized I was behind on a Dresden or two. I picked them up and just never got the same buzz from them that I used to.
