I've just finished Small Favor. It was pretty good. I am very interested to see what happens with the Knights of the Cross. I am also very concerned about Thomas, I think the temptations presented by Harry's trust may get to him.

I'm so excited about getting to Changes (after Turn Coat, of course) that I almost forgot that there are 4 short stories to read next.

I've enjoyed Day Off, Backup, & Warrior so far, with Warrior being my favorite of the three. Harry and I were thinking just alike towards the conclusion of that one - both on the beach and when they returned to the church. I absolutely loved his discussion with Jake ('cause I'm a big ole softy! )
Last Call is up next, and if the names any indication, Mac should be making an apprenace. I like Mac more with every passing story.

Meet Harry Dresden, Chicago's first (and only) Wizard PI. Turns out the 'everyday' world is full of strange and magical things - and most of them don't play well with humans. That's where Harry comes in. But he's forgotten his own golden rule: magic - it can get a guy killed. Which didn't help when he clashed with unknown assailants with his murder in mind. And though Harry's continued existence is now in some doubt, this doesn't mean he can rest in peace. Trapped in a realm that's not quite here, yet not quite anywhere else, Harry learns that three of his loved ones are in danger. Only by discovering his assailant's identity can he save his friends, bring criminal elements to justice, and move on himself. It would just be easier if he knew who was at risk. And had a (working) crystal ball. And access to magic. Instead, he is unable to interact with the physical world - invisible to all but a select magical few. He's also not the only silent presence roaming Chicago's alleys. Hell, he put some there himself. Now, they're looking for payback.

I just started rereading Blood Rites and I just read one of the best lines in the series so far. It was said by Thomas:

"An errand is getting a tank of gas or picking up a carton of milk or something. It is not getting chased by flying purple pyromaniac gorillas hurling incendiary poo."

That's the second time I've read it and both times I couldn't help burst out laughing

Very bitter-sweet. Great story but emotionally draining. I still feel the same way about Morgan, though, despite all that happened. I am not happy, but I'm satisfied (I guess) with the way things went down, as far as, Morgan and Harry. Even his friends agree he's an a**.
The political part makes me angry, but then again, politics usually does.

I'm going to try to read "Love Hurts", before I go to bed, so that I can start Changes tomorrow!!

“Why does it not surprise me that the sound of a pistol would herald the arrival of my wife,” Holmes drawled, and stood away from the door so we could enter.
