As of August 2016: Jim is currently writing Peace Talks (#16), so we’re still quite a ways from having a release date. We’ll announce any updates in the news blog.

THE CINDER SPIRES

The Aeronaut’s Windlass was released September 29th, 2015.
Jim will start writing The Olympian Affair (#2) when he finishes Peace Talks.

Hmm, that is not good. That means that he has been writing Peace Talks for about a year now. That means either it is a complex book, he got stuck in the story somewhere or he is not focused. After the first draft is finished, it usually takes 6 to 9 months before a book hits the shelves.

I will go with not focused on writing. He seems to be focused on other things.

This book was a turning point for me. I liked the first three, but not this one. I don't really know why though. It has all the elements, but somehow it was off for me. I seriously doubted to pick up book five after this one. I am glad I did!

The hits just keep on coming from Jim, I think and the series continually becomes darker and darker as we move forward. Seems Harry has in his possession a book called the Word of Kemmler and a sinister character called the Erlking is in pursuit.
