No problem, that method works well enough for me. Unless you have the original file for something word counts are almost always going to be an estimate anyway. I just like to have as much "good" data as possible to help get my estimates closer. For pages, I generally use GR page counts as well since I have given up on paper books for the most part, normally the MMPB version when available.

No, I did not know about that plugin as I've never wanted to know how many words are in the books that I read. But thanks anyway.

Hey Alan, those are some really cool posters. Sorry haven't visited in awhile. My online time is limited at least until mid-January. By then, perhaps I will have listened to the Aeronaut's Windlass (2 holds ahead of me for the audio CD at library). So far I haven't liked the genre that this falls in, but I'll give it a whirl.
