I just remembered, we already have a word for our readers. It's a word most of us know. The word is PADD. PADD stands for Personal Access Display Device.

Läsplatta roughly translated to english means reading tablet or reading plate.
I like that word - the platta bit is like 'platter' in English (a big plate with a variety of food on it ).

I'd choose 'book platter' for reading devices if I had my way - which I never do.

Now if only someone would port LCARS to these devices...

I read books, magazines, occasionally a "paper", etc. I don't read a lisueusuuees or a computer or a phone. But I do watch "TV", sometimes "shows", and sometimes shows or movies on TV. So it's ambiguous, but won't be forced, and I still contend that it is a "book", plain and simple. When people ask what it is, that's what I say: a book.

I say, "An interfenestratable vindauga into the Überworld", but folks seem to just look somewhat addlepated and back away slowly. Maybe I'll try "a liseuse" instead?

Cheers,
Marc
