Fast forward 9-10 years... and where is all of my stuff? In boxes! Big heavy ones! Boxes that I keep having to move around every time my husband wants to work on a certain area of our barn! I think that is my main source of exercise-- moving boxes from room to room, two floors up, one floor down and back again. If I didn't still have some small hope that we would someday have finished rooms and walls to decorate, they would all be garage-saled (except that we don't have a garage) all except the treasured photos. Seven years later and I still have my hope. So, 'til then I'll be moving big boxes of stuff! (I do like my stuff, but I'd enjoy it a whole lot more, well, not in a box!)

Now back to the subject... I think I could write an epic limerick about my life in a barn! In fact I think it could be rather healing, since I lost my sense of humor over this project about five years into it.

Seems obvious to me! And I like RSE (RED)'s limerick. Gotta clean my garage as soon as my 4 day holiday weekend is over. Next Tuesday or so!

Yes, you can insert born in place of barn, just as well. I sort of intended that, since you ask. My license plates say "REBARN 1" with the same double meaning.

It's a long one!
From my profile I'm a displaced city dweller (think Green Acres) living in a barn under, well... transformation, homeschooling my daughter.
From a different thread I am just now getting a floor built downstairs (main level). It's been mostly dirt and cracked, uneven concrete, all this time. We live on the 2nd level with plywood floors and unfinished drywall. It's been an adventure and an exercise in patience!
Maybe that's why I like MobileRead so much, it's a wonderful escape from reality, (from one psock to panother!! )
