I'm a member (rejoined after 10 years away) of the NorthWest Territory Allicance (NWTA) -- meaning the NorthWest parts of the New World's east coast. (Mississippi River Valley and eastward). We reenact the Colonial Revolutionary War in the 1770's. My particular unit portrays a militia which existed for a month in 1779. Other units in the NWTA portray slightly different times during the American Rev War.

It is fun, and the light rain we had on Sunday was a whole lot better than wearing 3 -5 layers of clothing during Saturday's heat! The wool uniformed men have to run across sunny fields, doing a mock battle, twice a day. A cloudy day is cooler than a sunny day.
