I use this one, so far so good, no flicker. Plus I like the battery box option, lets it sit like a mini desk lamp.
Is this powered by AAA batteries? The Amazon site offers it bundled with SE CR2032 Battery, Package of 5 (5 Packs 25 Batteries) . I wonder about how the clip fits with the PE.

That's the same one I use. Great choice.

Walmart has more info: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ritelite-5...i_sku=14264395

Yes it takes AAA batteries. No idea why Amazon is selling that bundle . . .

Oh, the clip. Would you use it? I would just stick the USB end into my PE which would then power the light. Unless you are using the USB port for something else. Or use the lamp and battery pack on a table beside you.

The clip is pretty useless for anything besides a hardbound book. The light is too heavy for a paperback and the clip is no good for a reader, laptop or the edge.

Of course! How stupid of me to forget the USB option. My lengthy reading period is in the early AM, in bed, excluding the table option!

Think I'll get it. Thanks, guys.

I tried a chinese USB led light (5V, 13 leds) and it works fine, eDGe with Ermine.
But I will not use it, as the USB input cannot hold the weight of the lamp all alone.

I can't say I've been 100% happy with the LEDs I've tried, because the tend to reflect off the screen in a very annoying way. In fact, to change the subject a little, my #1 complaint about the eDgE is that e-reader screen: I guess because of the touch-screen thing they have to put on top of it, it's rather less readable than a Kindle's, plus it's shiny and picks up troubleseom reflections. A fault of the technology, not the design.
