OK, sorry for the delay. I've been busy with stuff, and also got a Kobo H20 which is surprisingly nice.
@eschwartz and @NiLuJe: Thanks for the fixes; I merged the PR and made a new package including voyage support as requested (in first post). @Belenos: As for the nested collections, I had done something about it but the firmware was set against it. Have things changed on that matter? |

Barsanuphe -- nested collections are a "feature"/loophole of legacy pre-fw5.4.2 (Cloud Collections-supporting). It would be great if you could get it working, with the caveat that it only works on old devices.
![]() The Collections Manager source should demonstrate how it is done. |

I have a jailbroken PW2 with FW 5.6.1.0.6. I installed the KUAL hotfix and then installed a few things via the package installer. Everything works fine except for Librarian Sync. I have the latest versions of the Collections plugin and Librarian Sync. When I click Update collections (calibre plugin) in KUAL, it seems to hang. I thought it just might be taking a while so I left my Kindle alone overnight to see if the sync would complete. It didn't. It's not truly snagged, I think, because I can hit the back button to exit the process. It just never seems to get anywhere when I try to sync it. Am I just not giving it enough time to complete the task?

Python was already on my PW2, but I tried to update it just in case. I downloaded the file from the Screensavers hack page and from the Snapshots page. In both instances, Update Your Kindle is greyed out. I'm assuming that Python is working, though, because the Screensaver hack works.

You also probably need to update your KUAL installation to the most recent. Plus, I would recommend the most recent version of the Backdoor Lock. |

Automated trigger to run LibrarianSync on USB disconnect
Hi,
first of all thank for LibrarianSync - it works great and at the moment is much easier to maintain than CollectionsManager. ;-) By any chance does anybody have automated trigger to run LibrarianSync on USB disconnect? I wanted to implement it for collections manager and remember someone told me what to read on how to do it, but I'd rather reuse working one if you have it. Btw., librariansync-1.10 works great on 5.6.1.0.6 and 5.6.2.1 on 4gb pw2 S/N 9017. |

@mhnotnot: Something that loops over the output of lipc-wait-event -m -s 0 com.lab126.hal usbPlugOut should do it.
(cf. usb-watchdog in my stuff, which might be a wee bit more intricate than needed, but does the job). |

Is LibrarianSync able to do nested collections?
Is it able to hide from the main screen (or conversely, to show it) items which are assigned to collections? What about LibrarianSync is easier than Collections Manager (other than working on newer firmwares)? |

No, LibrarianSync cannot handle nested collections or hiding items.
It's mainly good for processing collections much faster than CM can. ![]() And being more future-proof, of course. I use both. |

How do you use both? Can you have LibrarianSync process the collections, and then go into Collections Manager for when you (less frequently) want to arrange nested collections and hide/unhide items? I agree that sounds like it could work pretty well, if it can do that.
