Hi all,
Will this work with a dongleless bluetooth remote? Will this also work on a Kindle Oasis 2? Thanks! ![]() |

The original post should be edited--the Amazon link you provided doesn't work anymore.
Edit: I guess this doesn't work with bluetooth after all. Can anyone recommend a remote that works with PW4? Last edited by eddington; 07-10-2021 at 04:27 PM. |

PW4 Jailbreaked in 5.13.7, KUAL installed, not working about page turner when I did authur's steps. The blue light flashes 3 times meaning OTG receiver no response.

) is set to peripheral. It might be possible to change the mode and generate a new DTB but it's hard to test this at the moment as the newer Kindles are so heavily locked down. |

Pretty much - it might be possible to run it on later devices up to KT3 (i.e before Lab126 started to heavily lock their devices down) if anyone ever manages to work out how to get USB OTG working on anything later than PW3.

Sorry i meant to ask if any PW3 can be jailbroken or do i need to pay attention to the model number to know if its firmware is low enough to jailbreak.

All PW3 devices can be jailbroken in some way. I'd advice trying to find a device running 5.13.3 or lower so that you can use KindleBreak but if that's not an option, you can still jailbreak it via the serial port.

I was wondering if I could use a simpler connection method with the help of KindleLazy: I don't need a wireless option, a cable connection is fine enough: Cable with volume controls on for earbuds/earphones, in my case.
I remember doing that quite easily (in presumably kindlepdfviewer at least) almost a decade ago with a Kindle Keyboard: As the Ereader device had volume buttons and an audio port as well, I could plug-in an earbuds cable and use the volume buttons for turning the pages... Currently, if I use a converter (as in the image) to insert the headphone cable to the micro-USB port of a Kindle Voyage (having no volume buttons on the device itself, as you know...), would the KindleLazy enable me to do the same? How about a Kindle 5? Or would anyone be aware of a program that would make that possible? Thank you! ![]() Edit: Sorry, apparently, USB OTG Mouse support would be a better thread for such a post. Feel free to delete unless this note may direct others to the correct thread. Last edited by mrevent; 04-17-2022 at 08:25 AM. |
