I solved it by erasing this part (not the whole extensions, but the MRPI one:

Unrelated, it failed because that's an outdated KUAL release, not the current snapshot.

(i.e., you just removed completely inert KUAL extensions).

Hello, I have a K3w running version 3.4.3 that I have installed the JB 0.12.N_k3w_ along with the screen saver update ss_0.47.Nk3g_. I have installed KUAL-DKD-1.0.azw2 and mkk-20141129-k3w-B00A. When I try to launch KUAL I get the message "The title is not signed by a registered developer." I cant seem to find where I went wrong or how to correct it.

Hi. I manage to install kual to my kindle k4 non touch. My unit firmware version is 4.1.4.

These are the steps i used.
1. Reset my kindle 4 non touch to factory default. Join wifi network and registered my device.

2. Jailbreak my device using kindle 4 jailbreak file download from here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=225030. This is under "Packages targeting the Kindle 2/DX/DXG/3/4"

3. Then i install mobile kindlet kit downloaded from here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...postcount=1295

4. After that i install kual and MR Package installer downloaded from https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=225030 under "kual & kual extensions".

Does anyopne know if you can use that on a DXG? My daughter wants to know. WE've been unable to get USBnetwork to work for it. We had it fixed from someone's script a while back, but it needed to be reset, and she lost the date fix, and we haven't been able to redo what fixed it the first time.

Or a pointer to a hand-holding walk through of how to do it through USBnetworking might help, if anyone knows of one.

I am legitimately so lost, I cannot count the number of times I have tried this, and yet I keep getting the same exact issue.

1. Copy Jailbreak to Kindle and update Kindle
2. Copy new certs to Kindle and update Kindle
3. Copy updated reginfo.ini and Update_reginfo to Kindle and update Kindle in order to "register"
4. Copy new KUAL to documents folder

And yet every single time I try this on my DX, it's always the same exact error of "The title is not signed by a registered developer." So every time I factory reset and rinse and repeat, and every time it's the same exact outcome.

If anyone has any advice or can help out at all with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Same for me on my K2. I've tried everything I can think of, but I just get that "not signed" error every time.

The new version of KUAL or the DevCerts update must be broken on 2nd-gen Kindles (K2 and DX).

I ended up just setting the clock on my K2 back a few years so that the old version of KUAL and MKK would work again.

Yes, same here on a Kindle 4, serial # starting with 9023 1701. Getting "This item is not signed by a registered developer." Tried earlier with a Kindle Keyboard (3rd Generation) with same result. Both devices, tried install multiple times, concentrating on being sure to use the proper files. Hoping that a fix can be found - trying to keep my old devices out of the landfill! Thanks.

Did you get the new KUAL version and install the DevCerts update?
