You are right, nearly same at my 902 on booting it appears like it should , than it goes back to menu.

Hopefully there is comming an update soon... most important for me fbreader180 to get working on it.

Running it atm, all seems ok!
First impressions:

-Registration works.
-PocketBook Widget now sees i have removed books, dunno yet how it responds to new ones
-New File manager : it Rocks!
-New wallpaper (nice)

I will post later with more test results

I have followed the instructions for trying to update the firmware for my IQ 701. However, when I get to the update screen with the little droid, I get a yellow exclamation point caution sign and then my screen boots back to the original white home screen. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you unzip the file?
The file has to stay zipped to work properly.

I did exactly as described. Saved zip file in root directory of SD card. Nothing else on the card.
When IQ 701 tries to update i get android "robot" with warning sign and then device goes back to usual.

Any ideas what is wrong.

I did not unzip the file when I loaded it on the SD Card. Still, all I get is the droid with the exclamation point warning sign and then back to the normal boot screen.

gilza and symonray, are you putting the Zip file on an SD card, then putting that card into the slot on top of the IQ? The update will not work from the internal 2GB card if you transfer it to the IQ via USB. It'll only work if you put the Zip file on an SD card, then put that SD card into the IQ.

On the other hand, you may just have a corrupted Zip file. It happens. Try downloading it again.

I finally got it to work. The update worked when I continued to press the + volume key for a few seconds after the update screen first appeared.
