Has anyone with a bluetooth keyboard tried it out on their 302?

Still using 14.2 since I got the device in Dec 2009 - never updated, never needed to. I detest ADE so read only in FB2 format, which I update with the wrist page-turn FBReader app (0.9.2) - works like a dream.

I have had 2-3 freezes since Dec 2009, requiring a hard reset (remove battery and press the button). Other than that, never had a problem - the device works superbly!

I usually update firmware on my 'toys' quite soon after updates come out, but I have hesitated with this because it works so well for me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I'll stick with 14.2 until I'm forced to upgrade!

I just wanted to report back that I have still not had a single reboot since I installed the new beta test firmware 15.3b. I've read for hours each day and have not had one single problem with it.

I did have problems with both 14.2 and 15.2.

I want to report one bug of the new firmware 15.3b for poketbook 360.
When you will put new fonts in the system folder "font" it will crash when you wanna change system font in settings or even in fbreader or fbreader 180.

edit - crashes means it directs you back into main menu, without changes

I confirm the bug.
I thought I caused it by putting too many fonts to the font folder.
After removing some fonts I do not see crashes anymore.

I got the fault even with one single font , so i have no fonts anymore in the fonts folder. There are only the fonts now available, which came from the firmware.

Had my first crash today using the 15.3b firmware on my 360. 14.2 was rock-solid, had lots of crashes with 15.2, and was starting to think 15.3b was crash-free. Still, it's MUCH more reliable than 15.2.

Crash occurred when turning the page.

Power On Off Button
The possibility to press the on/off switch twice to get into main menu or last books or any other possible function, if set in preferences, does not work on my Pocketbook 360 with firmware 15.3b.

But never the less its still quite stable, no chrasshes while reading (with fbreader 180 - 0.9.2). Also adobe seems to work much better (i only read drm free epubs) and they are looking much better then in the fb reader , but font size adjustment is quite stupid. Too small or too big. So i still use fb180.

Installed 15.3b on my 302 today and couldn't get it off fast enough. Lost all my last read locations but when I went back to 15.2 they were there again. Reading PDFs the context menu wouldn't open. The reader was set to open the last book read on boot up but it always went to the main menu. Was hoping for a new browser but no such luck. Using the power button to bring up the recently read list, the menu wouldn't work. I thought I must have loaded the update for the 360 but nope, loaded the update included in swupdate_02Sep2010_302_ru_ws_15_3b.zip.

I installed 15.3 beta on PB360 and now I have a little problem with pdf files. Before there was an option "open with" which offered Adobe reader and pdfreader (or something similar). This option is gone, there is only "open". Do other people have this problem too? Is it intentional? In fact now I can't open some pdf files (I get "error: cannot start program"); those might be the files that I opened with the old firmware with the application that now disappeared.

You are right. pdfviewer seems to be don´t work anymore on 15.3b. I installed a modified config where you can open pdf as default with adobe and epub,fb2,prc ect. with fbreader. See attachment, copy that to config folder in the sytemfolder. This works good for now with the betafirmware.

Is there any idea about a release date? I am particularly interested in the PB302 firmware (incl. decent browser, working RSS and announced writing app, either included in the fw update or as separate apps).

Hello everybody,

is the PB-Team reading this Board and checking for user feedback?
I'm student and like to have something like a simple flashcard-application for learning. I've got some ideas how this program has to work but I'm really a poor programer (physics is my subject...).

a) It must be possible to create the card-set with a simple editor at the computer. Until now I'm using the LaTeX-package "Kartei", which is a german alternative to "flashcards". This creates flashcards with questions on the odd and answers on the even pages. So it's easily possible to split the whole document into the single cards.
b) You need a rating for the cards, so that the learned ones appear at less frequency than the difficult ones.
c) And a shuffle function.
d) Because I'm studying physics, it has to work with equations. -> PDF would be nice.

I don't know, how many of your customers were students but this could really be a killer-feature for the PocketBook (like DjVu still is) in this group.

Hello, Missjo! Welcome to the forum!

The Pocketbook people do certainly check this forum. Forkosigan and mtravellerh are quite active and they belong to Pocketbook's staff.

I am a student, and I'm using my Pocketbook 360 for the purpose of learning economics. Most presentations and documents (converted to PDF) show up quite fine in the small screen, but there are other documents which can become a pain in the unmentionables.

Regarding programming for Pocketbook... I can only say "good luck".
