Not a dumb question.

I have 3. Inside an ebook I can switch around with no issues between the 3 dictionaries. But not inside the dictionary app from the main menu.

Go to the Config Page, then to Key Configuration -> there on the second page I used the upper large key long press set to - Dictionary

Um I don't think you are following what the problem is. Setting a keybind to dictionary doesn't fix this problem either. All that does is bring up the dictionary inside an ebook. Which I have no problem doing.

I have no problem switching between dictionaries while inside an ebook. Its using the dictionary app from the main menu. When I go into the dictionary app I cannot switch between dictionaries. I can use the dictionary just fine I just can't switch between them.

Very strange, the first reply i gave u is exactly what i do to change the dicts outside an ebook. Very strange, did u try to reflash the 14.2 firmware? Maybe some links inside the roms are missing.
The second post was just a guess, because normally the funktion outside ebook is like build-in into the system.

Yes, and it *used* to work.
I had it work with the June 9 release.
It no longer works in the June 14th.

For me the different versions of 15.2 for PB360 have always worked quite steadily - only a few freezes for the last few months, which is acceptable. I can't imagine a contemporary device that doesn't freeze at all even if it is created by Steve Jobs. Actually the first freezes came to my PB while on 14.2. Now, as a matter of fact since the official 15.2 release I haven't had any freezes. My fbreader is graynm76_fbreader180 0.9.2.

A small request. Could someone of the devs post the new English language file? Or even better, a file with only the differences from the previous version. There are a few new strings that need to be translated ...

I really haven't tried much since I haven't wanted to delve to deep into it. Because once I do I will tear everything apart until I have it working properly. And right now I don't want to reset it and clear my books and start over from scratch. I will eventually just not yet.

So I press and hold the top paddle button (NEXT key for me) and it goes to a blank screen - a little disconcerting. So I press and hold a second time and, et voilà, a pop-up appears listing all my dictionaries, and I can choose and change.

So, try using the 'hold NEXT key' feature twice - once to the blank screen and once to bring up the pop-up dicionary list. Cheers!

Well there it is. It worked. I actually tried that but I didn't hold the button down the second time just clicked it. So while I don't think this is how its supposed to work (I know it didn't originally when I first got it). This definitely pleases me as a work around. Thanks much!

As an FYI: I am currently using the latest firmware 15.2 (Jun14).

Yes, you are correct - second button press is a click only, not a hold, and the dictionary menu appears.

As you say, not exactly how it should be designed to work, but it works!

So, 15.2 (14 June) users - are you all happy with the firmware? It seems after a few false starts and beta release misadventures, the 15.2 firmware release is official and (mostly) error-free. Do you concur? If so, I will probably update my device. I rarely use ADE, but an improved ADE would be a blessing for those times I have to use it!...

BTW, does the ADE style hack work in 15.2 - anyone confirm it?

I can't say I am happy with the new firmware. I am getting multiple freezes/crashes every single day. When it crashes or freezes it takes me out of my book and sometimes it can be chapers away from where I was last reading. I'm trying to remember to bookmark regularly, but even that doesn't help when it doesn't remember those bookmarks.

I love the new power button menu, so I'm sticking with this version of 15.2 for now. I didn't try 15.1 at all. I'm trying to be patient and haven't downgraded yet, but I do think about it daily.

I don't use ADE so I can't comment on that.

I got my 360 back the other day with 15.2 (rather than 14.2) installed, and have had two spontaneous reboots with loss of bookmarks so far. Fortunately when it does this (while page-turning) there is a hesitation of several seconds which serves as a warning that it is coming and I have time to note the page no. and when I come back into the book I can go directly to the page. If I do not do this it's irksome because when I re-enter the book it goes back not to where I was last reading but to where I started that session. When I then go to the page where the reboot occurred, it does not happen again when I turn the page, which leads me to think the problem is not in the epub file itself because if it was I would expect the same thing to happen in the same place. I am using only epub and FBreader.

I am hoping this will happen less often with 15.2 than it did with 14.2, despite everyone here saying 14.2 is more stable, and hope that further versions of 15.x will get rid of this problem.

I now have more problems -- same as before, but more often -- with the PB360 as it was returned to me than with the original. PB apparently found no hardware defect but replaced the 14.2 originally installed with 15.2, as if that would help, which it did not. I have tried everything now -- sent it back, downgraded again to 14.2, done the hardware reset, maintenance (format internal memory and clean slate), and uploaded all my files again. I have tried PDF and Epub using both the PDF viewers and FBreaders. They all produce the same problem. I simply cannot use this device to read because it conks out (reboots) at least once an hour. I have also tried to read a number of different files, including public domain files, so the notion that something is "unclean" in the files is not a sufficient explanation. The device is simply not market ready, in my opinion. 240 euros is not chicken feed. I cannot read with this device. Period.
