Well, I don't know why sergey don't post anything about the new build of pbchess/coolreader in this forum. The new version is 2020.03.26 for kobo (same as kindle 2020.03.27) with support for all newest kobo models.
They can be downloaded from his web page

Here is my spanish translation for the last build of pbchess 2020.03.xx
You only need to copy and overwrite each file over vlasovsoft directory.

I just updated the firmware on my Kobo Glo to 4.26.16704 and as well updated pbchess to the latest version 2020.12.02. However, the top button for turning on the frontlight does not seem to be working. It works when I exit pbchess, but when in coolreader, it does not. For now, I have used the long press action to turn on and off the frontlight. Has anyone experienced this?

Why would anyone use Cool Reader when KOReader is available, works better, and has better support?

I can't speak for anyone else, but Coolreader has very nice facilities for selecting touch zones (I use the bottom two-third of the page to advance the text. It works very well regardless of which hand I'm using.)

When I tried KOReader a year or so ago, it seemed to be possible to accomplish the same thing but I could not figure out how. I gave up.

Ask in the KOReader forum how to setup the tap zones as you want. If you get the answer, then you can switch.

I use the opposite configuration: 75% of the top to page forward and 25% of the bottom to page back. It is set from the advanced settings of the file explorer:

DTAP ZONE BACKWARD
h=0.25
w=1
x=0
y= 0.75

DTAP ZONE FORWARD
h= 0.75
w=1
x=0
y=0

If you want to use the bottom 2/3 to page forward and the top 1/3 to page back, the configuration would be as follows:

DTAP ZONE BACKWARD
h=0.33
w=1
x=0
y=0

DTAP ZONE FORWARD
h=0.66
w=1
x=0
y=0.33

I just noticed that there's a 2022.03.30 version posted. I wonder if it'll work on newer devices? Works fine on my Glo HD.

It's Kobo Libra 2 update. Now it works with Kobo Libra 2.

I have update my firmware and now this doesn't start. I didn't find a way to make it work with the latest release zip. What I'm I missing?
EDIT: Got it. I had to find the kfmon install package.

Hi. I updated to the latest version but a date or version number seems to be wrong somewhere. It keeps detecting 2022.3.30 as build version, even of I'm on 2022.4.29. It's a minor bug but still, I'll look into the files to try tonsee where exactly the build number is wrong.
