Right!

But if you have version earlier than 1.2.6.31 installed, then you also need to rename

.kobo/KoboLauncher

to

.kobo/vlasovsoft

in your book before upgrading.

I also have the problem with the fonts that was reported before.
Only the default ones are shown. I resetted the Kobo but still the problem persists. I guess I will have to go back to a previous version and try to update again.

Hi!

Fonts location was changed in 1.2.6.31.

Now fonts can be located in:

1. FLASH ROOT/fonts
2. FLASH ROOT/.kobo/vlasovsoft/fonts

Where do you have your fonts?

Please give me the font (ttf file) sample if you are installed fonts correctly but still no result.

I tried both locations to no avail. In previous versions I was able to select them.
I am sending Malabar.ttf (compressed in a rar) as requested.

Just tested the font. I put it in ./kobo/vlasovsoft/fonts. After rebooting the device Malabar works fine without problems.

Please doublecheck that the folder names are correct and reboot the device after adding new fonts.

Except for the one time need to change the name of the folder, like Sergey mentioned. If you missed that you could merge the two folders and have the merged folder have the new name.

Ok, it worked when I copied them right into the FLASH ROOT/.kobo/vlasovsoft/fonts directory. Previously I had them in another directory hanging from that one (I think in previous versions that was OK).

HI! This is my first post and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that the fonts in Cool Reader are rendered differently since the CR engine was changed to a different version. I love Cool Reader for my kobos and really liked how dark the fonts were before the last two new versions so I have gone back to 29.

Thanks for reporting! Did you try to play with font gamma in the settings dialog?

Yes I tried changing the gamma setting although I always make sure to set it to get the darkest font I can. It didn't make any noticeable difference. The difference in the darkness of the font is more noticeable on the Kobo Aura than the Aura HD but there is still a difference on the Aura HD. I have also noticed the same thing on my jb Paperwhite 1. The fonts are definitely not as dark.
