If I remember well, the CSS property "letter-spacing" works OK with Koreader.
You can try with 1px.

Would it be possible to share the DjVu file? Opening DjVu files is actually one of KOReader's major attractions.

So, any suggestions about the following question?

I have installed as much as fonts that I could, but it was of little avail. Moreover, I use the latest nightly build.

it is my problem

Hi ! I managed to get koreader working through patch.lua on my Boris reader (Argentinian Onyx c67ml rebranded) but I can't open any djvu file with error 'no reader engine for this file'. There are no not ascii character in the path (I checked). The reader runs Android 4.2.2 with Play Services. I'm running latest nightly version but I tested with stable and a previous nightly with no success.

Hm, I think currently the djvu module isn't build on Android as djvulibre needed some parts that were not provided by Android's userland API (Bionic libc). I guess somewhere on the net patches are floating around for this issue?

I can't connect to wifi (KSM8 or Koreader)

Hi there and thanks to all people involved in Koreader or KSM

I've just installed KSM8 and Koreader on my Kobo Aura H2O (wich had FW 4.2.8432 24/01/17 before these installations). Unfortunately I can't connect to WIFI with KSM or Koreader, though Nickel manage to connect.

In KSM, I can enable/disable the WIFI but no networks are shown (or detected) using the detection script. "Manage network" script shows me nothing (I don't know if it is supposed to show the networks that Nickel knows). And all wget scripts show "exit_code:_1" in all situations.

In Koreader, Network>WiFi connection>Do you want to turn on WiFi>OK seems to do nothing (or it just enable WIFI without showing any networks).
I don't know if it's just me, or if WiFi is not supported by KSM or Koreader with Kobo Aura H2O, or if the installations just failed.

That's quite sad because the ability to sync books via Wifi or to connect via Wifi to a custom cloud was the reason I decided to try Koreader.

Any solution or idea?

Thank for reading

@Zakge Although in principle using the last stable build is recommended in this case I'd suggest you to try the latest nightly. KOReader has gained an entire WiFi management system since then. That being said, even that older version should just connect to whichever network(s) you connected to in Nickel. It's been working on my H2O since forever, but I'm on firmware 3.something.

Agreed, Android has always been a moving target, for developers. KOReader worked great, almost from the start, on my Android tablet (until I physically broke it) but some others running the same Android version had problems.

I also have been running under the Kobo FW 3.05 on my AuraHD and updating KOReader (hundreds of times), I am now on koreader-kobo-v2015.11-835. I don't use Nickel or the stock readers, so the updates to those are of no value to me. It seems to me that Kobo's recent FW releases have been more trouble (to nickel users, as well) they appear to have made a number of fundamental changes, that they may not have smoothed out yet. *Just an impression* There may be fewer problems running under an earlier FW. (I would try to find one after the initial release, for your device, that has had time to have any bugs worked out.)

Luck;
Ken

P.S.; KOReader rocks is back http://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/
It has a new Android release, also.

Hi again,

It finally works !

@Frenzie: I tried the last nightly but it failed when i tried to enable the wifi in Koreader telling me something about being unable to access or reach "wpa_supplicant". Which i guess has something to do with WPA authentication.

@Ken Maltby: Seeing Frenzie had "3. something FW" and you saying "Kobo's recent FW releases have been more trouble", so I did a factory reset and installed 3.19.5761 FW and that "mega update" with KSM and Koreader (stable 2015.11) that I found there.

Like I said, it finally worked. I can now connect to WIFI!

Thanks you both for your suggestions and have a nice day

You could now just copy over/merge the "koreader" folder from the KOReader rocks download of the current nightly release and have all the latest features ( including the new "cloud" support).

Luck;
Ken

Ok, I will do that. Especially if it has this nice cloud support.

Thanks again

You also could take a look of this post.

There's a problem with WiFi and unpatched KSM8, so you can patch it. It applies to all devices with newer firmware.

Of course, if you still want to run latest Kobo firmware (I myself use very old one, 3.12, if I still remember, I don't use nickel at all).

How do you use the kobolight.koplugin in koreader-nightly-20170209? Tap in bottom left corner seems not to be working.

I just want to remind KSM 08 users that they should apply this KSM patch, which has been updated several times.
