If it still cannot connect to USB, then it suggests the USB port is damaged. You can check the port is clean but otherwise, it would need fixing the hardware somehow.

For the browser, can you connect to any site? The default home page is Google. If that is not coming up, then you might not be connecting properly. If it is working, then it will be in your network. The simplest is that you have the wrong address. Or there are firewalls on the computer running calibre. Can you access it from another device or computer?

I was using https: and nothing happened. I now tried http: and it responded with Loading, please wait. However, it doesn't seem to progress, a d finally goes to s.eep. I will set the sleep time for max and try again. I also clicked on the here for non Javascript version but nothing changed. The site works fine on my android tablet.

I was finally able to connect and download a book from my Calibre library, after clicking "here" on the loading page. I guess I was too impatient and didn't wait long enough. Thak you guys very much for all your help. I guess that whatever caused the light to fail also killed the usb port. Again, thank you.

No, that was the right thing to do. If you read the full message, it tells you to click "here" for the mobile site. The main page is very Javascript heavy and does not work with the very browsers in ereaders such as a Kobo or Kindle. You should save the mobile site as a bookmark to get to it more easily.

And for anyone seeing this, it is a lot less confusing for me if you post requests for images in the thread dedicated to the device. If I haven't had my coffee in the morning, you are much more likely to get the right image if you do.

Kobo Glo acting crazy
Hi! Everyone. I read the this thread in hope to get some light over what is going on with my device.

It entered in a restoring loop with the light acting crazy (turning on and off and changing its intensity randomly). So I decided to follow the steps to transfer the image from the main SD to a new one. What ran ok, but during the process the program indicated that some files were corrupted. So I rebooted the device with the new SD. It worked fine for a little while, but soon in returned to act crazy and got into the restoring loop again. So I believe now I need a clean image of a Kobo Glo (Model N613), to check if it has any salvation. So I'd appreciate if someone would send me this image.

I tried to download the file through several browsers, devices and connections. I cleaned my cache and reset my browswer to default settings, but I couldn't get to download the file. Everytime I get the same connection error when the file is around 400MB. Is there any change of an error with the link you sent me or with the file in it? Again: thank you for your attention, and sorry for asking again, is just because I'm really not getting the file.
