There is a $30 book I want to buy in the Canadian store. I won a 55% coupon in this contest and it does not work on the book. However, the 30% and 35% coupons that I won before and after the 55% DO work. I have double-checked the code in the email. Has anyone else had this happen?

It hasn't happened to me, but I have seen posts here about folks getting coupons from Kobo that don't work. And some apparently do work when tried by other people.

I hate to say it, but I think you'll have to get on Kobo's case about it.

Meanwhile, I have several 10 and 20 per cent off coupons, if anyone is interested. PM me.

Was just looking at some books and saw that there is a new line about applying your points to a purchase. So each book has a "point" value.

Just had a look and any points you receive on a purchase are as i suspected equivalent to whatever you pay at final checkout so heavy voucher users like us will be getting fewer points against the full point earning potential of any given title.

I'm not sure the whole scheme (vip or otherwise) is very worthwhile looking at it on the surface but maybe someone can dig deeper and work out a little loophole to benefit us poor voucher scrabbling folk.

I do like the fact that kobo are getting a little more pro active though and at least trying something new.

Unknowns are what type of bonuses would Kobo offer? Can you stack promo codes onto the 10% VIP offer?

For Americans visiting New Zealand, this works out somewhat better. The exchange rate makes a big difference.
