Does the author have a home page an list the release date?

And the publisher themselves, does their website suggest a release date?

I cant imagine ever being knowledgeable enough that I couldnt be taught a new way to suck eggs

I havent been able to find an exact release date for the ebook. The hardcover is out already, but the closest info I've been able to get for the ebook is 'mid May'.
You will all roll your eyes and snigger when I tell you which book it is. I collect trivia/fact/general knowledge type books (both treebooks and ebooks) and of them all my most favourite are the Bathroom Reader's Institute series. I have every one of them so far. Their most recent release is titled Lists That Make You Go Hmmm and my desperate need to own it grows tenfold for each day I cant have it.
I have tried asking on their Facebook page twice but they havent answered. I've also asked through their website, and also recieved no reply. I'd try asking again, but I suspect I am a̶l̶r̶e̶a̶d̶y̶ ̶a̶t̶ nearing obsessive stalker territory

I see Kobo have been tinkering again. There are a number of small changes, including where you enter codes. These changes appear on the US, UK and India site and no doubt others as well.
It always makes me slightly nervous when Kobo play around with things....

The last 90% off binge was a totally unexpected boon, but I've always thought the gravy train had to reach its terminus eventually. Kobo can't go on selling books at a loss in perpetuity.

I got a chuckle out of it! Sounds like pages that aren't being maintained. Some authors put up too many FB pages (one for the title or series, one for the author, a private page for friends...they have someone build them a webpage because they are told they need one...) But then no one maintains or checks them. If they didn't respond, sending another email isn't likely to jar anyone awake, although the web page might be the most likely. This sort of "No one is home" happens to me a lot when I try to email an author. It perplexes me greatly, and I find myself wondering if the spam filters just stop everything!

In the case of the hardback already out, I think your first guess is correct. It could show up willy nilly any day. Or not. My advice is to start writing your own tome of Toilet Wisdom.

I've accidentally clicked the purchase button before entering my coupon code before and had to do an online chat with Kobo to fix things. Hopefully with where the coupon code box is now that won't happen again. I'm kind of glad they moved it where the coupon code box and something for entering gift cards is all together. It just looks like it will make things easier to make sure you put everything in for your order correctly. Or at least it looks that way for me.

Yeah, I guess we'll find out what the changes to the Checkout page means when we start buying again.

I contacted KOBO via email about not getting the referral codes.

They gave me the 4 90% codes with no expiration that I requested. I did have to provide the email addresses. I provided one address that I wasn't sure whteher or not made a purchase - -they did check and did not provide a code for that address.

When I checked it with a current US account, I got this error:
