You have to register first. All of Kobo's games and contests require an initial registration, then you log in on subsequent days.

The registration has nothing to do with your Kobo account, either.

So, is anyone else getting the text in their emails that the coupons are whatever-percentage-they-are off on select titles only?

And there aren't many from which to choose.

These messages always seem to come with a list attached, but the codes work with all the non-agency priced books.

I tried buying a couple of books last night and wanted to enter the promo code but it told me that it wasn't available for that book (probably already discounted).

Any how - is there a way of listing the books where promo codes are valid?

Yes the coupon can only be used on Non-Agency books these are the ones that have two prices listed for example if the book says List Price $xx.xx Our Price $yy.yy then the coupon can be used if however it just says Price $xx.xx then the coupon cannot be used
