Kobo made it where I only get the old checkout. Probably best with no Credit Card and only PayPal which is a hassle to log in with 2 step verification each time to purchase something.

Calling today about my card! I hope they fix it.

I ordered several titles from Kobo this morning--all self pubbed Smashwords titles--using the 75% off code. All the files I downloaded were zip instead of epub--when I extract the documents from the zip file there are just separate metadata files, the title image file, etc. Can I fix this myself or do I need to contact Kobo?--Okay I figured out what I needed to do--downloaded again selecting save as EPUB file instead of just downloading. Weird!

Change the extension from .zip to .epub on the original files you downloaded (not the one you extracted), that's all you need to do.

The code may have expired since it's a contest code and technically was supposed to expire at the end of the contest. If the bug still exists in the new checkout, you SHOULD be able to use any code from the first post in this thread that hasn't expired.
