FWIW, that code appeared to have been used a few times from my blog during the new releases list I had up --no complaints and it appeared people were using them by the clicks. It's not the first time I've posted the codes, but it was probably first-time users for the most part.

Is epub2 the format that causes problems when trying to convert? I'm interested in buying Thieftaker (Tor) and it doesn't have DRM, but says epub2. I buy from Kobo and convert for my kindle a lot of the time, but I've not bought a TOR title before. Thx!

epub2 is fine, but since it's from TOR it won't have DRM anyway.

Thanks! It said it doesn't have it, but I wasn't sure if the epub would convert for use on my kindle. I get these things all mixed up about what works and what doesn't. Since I have a 50 percent off coupon that I think will work, I'd rather buy from Kobo. Thanks again!

Has anyone successfully price matched a book on sale at bookshout.com? I've noticed that Hatchette is putting some books on sale there and nowhere else. Bookshout requires their own reading app, and it obviously doesn't work on eInk readers.

No, Tor books are not coupon eligible -- at least in the US.

OH no! I actually just finished sampling it yesterday (I sample on Amazon) and hadn't gone over to buy it. The author is AKA David B Coe...and I've bought his other books with coupons on Kobobooks BUT he writes under his real name with Baen, so that is why they worked!

I can check to see if the coupon works, but if I have to pay full price, I'll probably resort to getting it from my library. I'll go check the coupon though.

They are in the UK. Just like baen.

In the US, Tor is an imprint of Macmillan, one of the "Big Five." Tor UK is a separate company.

I believe both Tors are couponable in the UK, due to some quirk of how they are listed. Which is a good thing, really, since otherwise their books are often very expensive. Tor US sell quite a few books directly in the UK.
