Mine would be:
1- Lower light intensity for night reading (0.5% brightness setting)
2- Night reading mode (white text on black background, or negativize the book's colors)
3- A file browser, browsing by filename and directory; instead of genre or author.

Wow, you must have good night vision. Or is it those glowing eyes?

I'd hate to think how many times that has been suggested over the years. Based on Kobo's reaction, it's not going to happen. If this is what you want, try Koreader.

I might do koreader.
But at the moment, I'll read the free ebooks from the store, until I've read most of them.

I just have very sensitive eyes. I can't stand bright light at night. Even my projector has to be calibrated very precisely, or I don't want it (Eg: in a dark bedroom with white walls, I can't have 500 ANSI lumen projector, or my eyes feel annoyed very easily.
I also set monitors most of the time to minimum brightness.

300ANSI lumen works well in pitch black, but considering that there are projectors with 1200 ansi lumen...
Even a computer monitor with 300 nits can be overly bright in a dark room (unless watching TV, then 200 lumen is ok).

But for browsing, or reading black text on white background, 200 lumen is good enough for me during the day, and less than 35 lumen at night.

My cellphone too, I have installed an app to make the screen darker at night; because the minimum setting on my samsung hurts my eyes at night.

a "soft-cap" for the aura h2o brightness would be great, since the
"slide the left edge" function is not very precise.

check here:

Display current time at bottom of page

Hi, I would love to to have the option to display the current time at the bottom of the page along with the current progress. This would allow me to keep track of late night reading in a non-distracted way. I miss this feature from Moon+ on my Android tablet.
Cheers.

Currently, if you tap in the middle to get the option bars to show, it will display the time for like 20 seconds and then replace it with the date. The time does show, but it annoyingly doesn't stay long enough.

Keep in mind that constantly updating the time is a serious power drain on an e-ink screen.

If the time was displayed on the reading screen, you would only need it updated every page turn and you would not need to see the seconds.

One feature I would like to see is to have the auto-shutoff be able to be set from 2-5 days in one day increments. Then it would be useful. Having auto-shutoff be at most, 4 hours 15 minutes is useless. If we don't read for a couple of days or so then the auto-shutoff should kick in.

This is one of the reasons why I stopped to use nickel altogether and started to use koreader. And, I'm very happy with this move.

True, what you describe wouldn't be too bad. The op was asking for "current time". and when I think "current time" I tend to think "continually updating time."

I can see some value to your suggestion.
