Kobo future firmware feature request thread

As a regular browser user, I want to have a zoom control more extended. So far, it is limited to a certain scale (100%?) and I can't make my web page smaller.

Also, having clock in footer is something I always used on my old Sony ebook reader. Now, on H2O I have clock in footer (or header, depending on reader) with alternate readers, but I would like to have it also in nickel.

The time and date format can be set by changing the locale in the device's configuration file. The default locale for English is en_US which uses a 12 hour clock, but you can change it to another, for example en_GB uses a 24 hour clock. You can see the clock when not in a book (from home screen, library, etc.) by tapping the menu at the top right of the screen.

How about having the French (& Chinese) dictionary (as well as English & German) for all file types, & not just .epub? & let 1 use them on all file types (+ text) sans the need to remember the word & type it in.

Thanks, I learned about this already and now I'm using en_GB, so I have clock and date the way I'm more used to.

But anyway, Maybe it really would be much easier for us all if we could do it from devices settings. However, now I have clock the way I like it.

When 1 touches 'Library' & then 'Books' to choose some thing to read, why could we not have the pictures some where else?
& how about a fully working LetterPerfect [simplified WordPerfect 5.1] word-processor?
I check books on the PGDP web-site, but can't use my Kobo for that as there is a 2nd browser window opened after choosing a book, but my Kobo not do that.
Why the need to save western text as UTF-8 to see letters + accents, & why not show all available letters when UTF-8 *.txt file used?
& an option to make the menus bigger, so I may find a book sans my glasses?

1. Where else would you put them?
2. Why on earth would I want a word processor on my e-reader? It's already slow enough! (I don't even like using one on my iPad.)
3. The browser's a bonus, not even out of beta. Perhaps you should speak to that website's administrator.

Settings > Library Settings > untick Show Thumbnail Images In List View.

I mean pictures 1 (& my nephew) drew on the sketch extra.

PS Not seen anything else that has the oe ligature on its keyboard; that is good; but could we also have ae 1s?
& could we have auto return to normal letters after entering an accented 1?

I mean, on computer a *.txt may have common accented letters by using 8-bits, & then Unicode (or UTF-8) shows many more; but on the Kobo the 8-bit files not show accented letters, UTF-8 does, but only those in 8-bit.

Chinese Traditional is seen correctly, but the simplified 1 does not.
Arabic seen, but Hebrew is not; We want all 4 to show.

Please Please could we make the menus bigger. I'm visually impaired and need a magnifying glass to choose the title of my next book. The books themselves are scalable so if the menus were too it would be perfect.

PDF - when viewing the whole page, I'm able to go to next 1 using a single touch, but if I make it bigger (but still seeing all text), I can't that way; only by moving arrow which =4 touches. Please, let's have 1 touch for that.
Some founts show Chinese & Russian, Turkish & Vietnamese; as well as western €p. Could we have them labeled as so?

I tried to use regular expressions to search within a book and 0 results. Could you add support for them?

Modify interface fonts: Add settings to change the font/styling used for Book Title, Author, Series, ... in Library view and search result.
This will allow users to customize their kobo as they wish, and provide some help for unsupported languages.
