Last I checked, MRPI will still function, but that's it. The JB is effectively dead, as you can no longer install packages via UYK.

But from a "is my JB working" standpoint, it really does: if UYK is broken, your JB is broken .

Your device might be as *usable* as before (mostly, and most importantly: for now), but the JB is, technically, broken, and you have no guarantee whatsoever that whatever functionality is still left will keep working in the future .

Just a warning, if you are jailbroken, do not update your Kindle to the latest 5.16.3 firmware. The ;log mrpi command will no longer work to install the hotfix and kual. Before you could still copy these two files to the mrpackages folder and use the ;log mrpi command, but now it doesn't work anymore.
