That makes me wander how smart are my future plans (after @katadelos publishes new jailbreak

) to edit that ("YJReader-impl.jar") JAR file that enables parsing of CONTENT_FONT_RAMP file for changing font sizes for KFX books

If that code is even still there on newer firmware.

My PW3 is still on fw 5.9.7, I've done the edit at the time that was the latest firmware.

No way I would ever voluntarily use KOReader for anything other than non-fiction PDFs.

Rendering / text layout & especially display & positioning of images & in general interpretation of CSS used to be "alpha level" IMHO the last time I've tried to read epub book (around 2018.

).

And like most open source Linux software it screamed "UI designed by programmers / developers". On paper with its list of features it looks absolutely marvelous but in reality using it always felt clunky.

To me even Kobo's firmware at the time of original Kobo Aura ( that is the only Kobo device I ever used) looked and worked in that "pre-beta at best" state (even that font boldness and size change feature I always considered a huge plus for Kobo was buggy and the text size changed with practically each book I've opened) and KOReader was worse (more "opensource-y and alpha) and the same impression I get with most other UIs used by smaller companies that sell eink readers whenever I watch a YouTube demo video.

Just couple of days ago I've opened KOReader on my PW3 and let it upgrade from some version from 2019. to the latest stable version from 2022 and took a look on what's changed and was somewhat more satisfied with text layout... until I got back to a KFX book opened in stock Amazon reader

Even if all other things were equal between two reader programs the difference in quality of available dictionaries (the ones available for KOReader are terrible) would always take me back to using Kindle stock reader. Quality of English-English and English-Serbian dictionaries is important to me as english is not my native language but most of the books I read are in english

As a rule of thumb, if the package build date is anterior to a FW release date, don't expect the hotfix to support it (because it won't. ever).

Small update that fixes an old incompatibility between RP & CRP with newer bridge versions that would break the RP/CRP install/uninstall scripts on existing setups (thanks to @shamanNS

).

Also repackaged hotfixes for 5.14.3, and goddamit, I forgot KUAL again.

EDIT: There, repackaged KUAL, too.

So... I've recently jailbroken my KT3 with the WatchThis Software Jailbreak method, setting my device in English/UK English (something that I usually do anyways). And it worked just fine. Then I installed KUAL, KOreader and the screensavers hack.
The last one was working perfectly until I decided to chance the time of my device to match my time zone. Is there a way to make it work again? I would prefer to keep it in English, just changing the time zone

Is there a changelog for the compiled hacks? I'm not sure when I need to flash my kindle with newer packages.

Each package ships at least one ChangeLog file, yeah.

Spoiler alert: all of my Kindle stuff is in maintenance mode (and has been so for years now), so don't expect any groundbreaking stuff ;p.
